  • 3 weeks later...

i never got my NOA1. I received an email that it was returned as undeliverable ... the tier 2 person i spoke with said they will not send it out again and do not make copies either and advised me to make an INFOPASS appointment to check the address on our application. i have a digital copy of everything i sent, the address is correct with the exception of ROAD, i left it off as i never say "XXXX Road" on any mail. Would they really not deliver mail because i left off "road"? Its the only "XXXX" anything in this city lol anyways i have my appointment next week but i just find it odd that USPS will deliver everything (bills and all junk mail) to my mail without "road" on it but this one important document couldnt be delivered. very frustrated... and another thing, my lawyer did not receive the NOA1 either. He said we would both get a copy of everything thats mailed. And yet another thing, why give have the G-1145 if they never emailed or texted me when the package was received? i only found out concrete details on Sept 2nd... and we filed Aug 12th... ugh..ok rant over..sorry but its just frustrating

Dear August 2014 filers,

This is my info:

I-130 filed for for my wife, mailed to Phoenix lockbox

I received the receipt via mail on 9/2/14, but as of today I've not been able to track our receipt # using the USCIS Case Status webpage.

Kind of upsetting though because even when I was applying for my green card all the way to my citizenship application I was able to track all my case from day one.

My receipt number is like this: LIN149106xxxx

Anyone else has a receipt # similar to ours?

Hello all! My husband sent our paperwork off August 5th, received NOA1 on August 14th and NOA2 (approval!) on August 29th. Very excited!

Question: I've been updating my timeline here on VJ... Is there somewhere where it gives an estimate of other stages of the process? I have no idea what to expect now in terms of timeline and I want to be as prepared as possible.

Looking forward to following along on everyone's journey!

YAY!!! Just logged in to the USCIS website and we're approved!

We sent out I-130 on August 21st, receive NO1 on August 26th and now NOA2 on September 15th- so total 20 days processing time.

I had called USCIS yesterday to ask whether or not it's worth it to check the website and they told me not really because it takes 45 days to update the website after a decision is made, and it's better just to wait for the email or mail letter that comes faster. I just couldn't resist checking again today, and it showed this:

Post Decision Activity

On September 15, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I haven't received an email though and as we live in France, it takes a while to get the paper version. But just wanted to tell you guys that story because it appears what they say on the phone is completely random and not necessarily true.

On another note, it looks like there is definitely the not-advertised "expedite" for couples living together abroad. Even on the phone she wouldn't admit to that and just repeated I need to wait 5 months, so again, don't always believe the phone operators as they're just reading a script.

I wish you all just as speedy of a process!

Confused by what you've said a bit... You checked the website and it said approved, then called to ask if you should check the website you'd already checked? We're filing from abroad as well...hoping we get the same unofficial auto expedite :)

Edit: oops, just realized you wrote "HAD called yesterday"... I understand now :) haha sorry

Say what?

Approval by USCIS in less than a month?

What kind of sorcery is this?

LOL!

If only the Nebraska center could move that fast. I don't think they can even enter a petition into their systems that fast!

I just recieved an email with our NOA2 !!!

21 days from NOA1 which is incredible.

I am living with my wife legally in Romania and submitted proof of this when I sent in the 1-130 package. This could explain the super quick approval. The approval date was spot on with the VJ timeline estimate.

Good luck to the rest of the August filers!!

On to the NVC Stage.

*** fingers, toes, eyes, everything crossed ***

I know they're estimates based on what others are entering and such, but when I got my NOA1 and updated my timeline I was given an estimate around the end of Jan to mid Feb 2015. Just for giggles, I looked again today and see "Based on timeline data, your I130 may be adjudicated between November 2, 2014 and November 28, 2014*. "

OMG that would be VERY awesome to get the NOA2 sooner rather than later!!!

I may be crossing my fingers, but I'm not holding my breath :P

Best wishes all!!
