That's awesome!!

I'm still waiting for confirmation that NVC rec'd our files from the TSC..... so that we can then start the Case # countdown.... **sigh** Patience is not one of my strong points (ya, I know... :P ) but I am really trying hard here.....

How is the rest of our August Gang doing?? I'm still watching a few of you here and hoping to see you post about your NOA2 REALLY soon!!

Best wishes!!

i hope u are calling NVC everyday for confirmation cuz if ur waiting for an email or letter u will wait an unnecessarily long time...thats what my attorney is doing and im about 10 steps ahead of him... its a pain to call everyday and hear the same tune but u will one day be surprised and get the answer u are hoping for :) ours noa2 was dec 17, uscis mailed it the 18th and i started calling dec 22nd. nvc received our case jan 2nd and i didnt find out til jan 5th so just hang in there...i know its frustrating and patience isnt one of my strong points either lol but it becomes routine until that one day when it changes to yes :)

Oh I am (calling that it....not waiting ;) ) !! LOL :)

So far, I think I have been pretty lucky.... the very first time I got through, the rep wouldn't give me anything other than the "allow 35 days" script...... since then the other three ladies I've spoken with have been really nice and looked up my three cases and said there was nothing in their system :(

I find calling around 11:30-ish (EST) has usually been the least amount of "all our lines are busy" message :P and I usually wait about 20-30 minutes on hold before reaching a person.

Thank goodness it's a free call via Google Hangouts ;)

Best wishes peeps :)

i hope u are calling NVC everyday for confirmation...

I know that your case is progressing fairly quickly (compared to most) but is there any concrete evidence that calling USCIS/NVC actually progresses a case any faster?

Our I-130 was filed by USCIS on 25th August 2014, according to their own website cases are being processed within 5 months (and I'm fully aware that this will only apply to non-troublesome ones), however when I used their online 'check case' emailing system yesterday I got a reply saying that we were still within processing time - The rest of the world would consider 5 months to have expired on the 26th January 2015, USCIS keep their own time and seem to consider that 5 months is 'less than 6 months!!!

If someone can point me towards the evidence that calling USCIS before 6 months is up, or NVC before 2 weeks after NOA2 notification, achieves a quicker result then I'll get myself in the call line.

Good luck fellow August filers.

I don't know about calling the USCIS - I tried once, and they wouldn't talk to me because I am not the USC :P

But with NVC, (from what I have read) it does not necessarily make your case go 'faster' but it allows you to keep on top of when things happen so that you can respond to them faster.... for me, I'm calling daily as I want to know when they get our I-130's so that I can start the clock for the case number, and so on.... They seem to send out emails/letters anywhere from a week to 30 days after something happened.....

From your timeline, your file is at Nebraska, right? While USCIS as a whole says "5 months processing" they consider the different centers - Texas does run close to the 5 month mark, California is all over the map, but usually very fast, and Nebraska seems to go closer to the 6 month mark...... just observations from this data-nut ;)

I'll keep hoping you see your NOA2 really soon! It's make a lovely Val Day present ;)

Best wishes!!

ours took about 4 month at nebraska..from aug 17 2014 when they got it til dec 17th when it was approved.. so it also depends on the complexity of your case id think

Yup, we got Nebraska. Surely the office processing times given on the USCIS website are for each particular office? Otherwise they may well just scrub the office input part and just post times for each form regardless of which office they end up at!

We've pretty much resigned ourselves to a 12 month wait with me making 3 monthly return trips and her making the odd trip to me as and when school holidays permit. :( (At least it means my shipping costs are going to be almost non existent as I've already managed to move all my outdoor pursuits gear here as well as most of my clothing, over 150lb of books and 50lb of tools!!! - just another 300lb of books and 250lb of hand tools to go :D)

ours took about 4 month at nebraska..from aug 17 2014 when they got it til dec 17th when it was approved.. so it also depends on the complexity of your case id think

I'm not too sure how much more complex my wife's history could be to check - everything she has ever done has been within the same county, including 21 years in the same job for that county!!! I believe it's just the luck of the draw with which case handler our I-130's land with.

Was approved today. However, once you are here in the US, do not forget to support faster processing systems for future immigrants, because the delays on the cases are unreasonable and the wait in average of year for someone to have his family is too much in my perspective. Moving to the next step.

I just got a text notification on our cases. When I logged in to the UISCIS page, it now says as of 02/11 our cases were shipped to the NVC!

I'm wondering if this means the NVC says wait 35 days from NOA2 date or from 'shipped' date?!?! (NOA2 date was 01/23)

ETA: Also wondering if there is a way to track the shipment from Texas to NH?! I've seen the 'trick' to checking DHL for NVC to Consulate.... hmmmm....
