On Tuesday I got an email from USCIS:

On February 3, 2015, we sent your case, Receipt Number LINxxxxxxx, to the Department of State for visa processing. Please visit our website for general information on Consular Processing.

Does this mean I will have a case number when I call NVC or will it still take more weeks? Did anyone else receive a similar notice?

30-NOV-2015 They updated my case file on CEAC but still reads "Admin Processing"..(crossing fingers)

14-DEC-2015 They "touched" and update my case file at the embassy, still under AP

28-DEC-2015 They touched my file again...still under AP

29-DEC-2015 !!!! VISA ISSUED - According to CEAC site...yay!! (now waiting to see when we can pick up)

Start calling the NVC to confirm the date they receive it (generally 2-ish weeks from the NOA2 date)... from the Date rec'd expect about 40-ish days to get the Case #.....

08-03-2017 Daughter and I completed biometrics; May 2018 - I had to redo my biometrics (reason unknown)

07-13-2018 I-551 extension stamp (12 mths) obtained at USCIS office in Detroit

09-20-2018 Transferred to TSC

10-15-2018 Text notification "New Card Being Produced"   YAY!!

omg i am literally jumping for joy :) i got our case number this morning and already our AOS and IV bills were invoiced and now they are paid!! :) I'll send the packages off as soon as they say paid online and then its on to the next step! :):) THANK YOU GOD!!

We just received one stating the case was sent on February 11th. NOA2 date was January 30th. 2 weeks just to pass on the case! I was actually hoping NVC would have received it by about now. SO FRUSTRATING!

Hi congratulations! :) did you call them and get the information over the phone or do they send an official email or letter with the details? Also what was your NOA2 date?

our noa2 date was Dec 17th ...i have called everyday for the last 35 days lol they said they will mail a letter with further instructions but if u follow the Wiki here u dont have to wait for it... its going to my attorney anyways and since im the one updating him on my case i figured why wait for him lol im just anxious to get my husband home as soon as i can :)

That's awesome!!

I'm still waiting for confirmation that NVC rec'd our files from the TSC..... so that we can then start the Case # countdown.... **sigh** Patience is not one of my strong points (ya, I know...:P ) but I am really trying hard here.....

How is the rest of our August Gang doing?? I'm still watching a few of you here and hoping to see you post about your NOA2 REALLY soon!!

YAAAYYYY!!!! My case was approved today by the Nebraska Service Center! I logged into the USCIS website and to my surprise I got a different update!!! I'm so happy and I'm hoping for all those still waiting that you hear something soon and it makes your day just as this did mine!!!
