No answer yet. Called them yesterday and they said that they are processing cases from July 16th.

July 16th?! UGH :( that's another 5-6 weeks until my pd of 8/26 :P :P :P

Anyone want to pitch in on putting together a huge gift basket of espresso and caffeine shots?!

Time is passing at a Snails Pace. Been too Far from My Husband. I'm Missing him more and more and caring less and less for the Life I live here without Him. At times I just want to Forget about all this and just move - leave it that Way...Perhaps that May be Best. Good Luck everyone Hope a Quick Response for All.

**fingers crossed** that we get there sooner rather than later ;)

This weekend, hubby and I talked about going over the NVC paperwork to see if there is anything else we will need... he will order his tax transcripts and I'm heading down to the police station to confirm length of time and cost (website has changed three times...) and I will be getting passports for my daughters (they haven't needed them before...)

By the time our turn to submit to NVC comes around, we'll be ready ;)

.....and I've just gotta do something rather than sitting here waiting.....

((and yes I know it will be 1-2 months before we even have our case # from the NOA2 date....but....)) LOL

there are 8 of the last 15 I-130 approvals are August filers!!

You can use that list to look at the different service centers (this link is for TSC)...

...so there is some movement....

August 15th, 2014: NOA1 by E-mail

August 22nd, 2014: Received NOA1 by Mail

February 2nd, 2015: USCIS Approved 1-130 petition (175 days)

February 10th, 2015: Case Status on USCIS website (We sent your case to the Department of State for visa Processing)

February 13th, 2015: Received NOA2 by Mail

NVC (CR-1)

February 17th, 2015: Case Received at NVC

February 27th, 2015: Case & Invoice ID numbers assigned

February 27th, 2015: Submitted DS-261

March 3rd, 2015: AOS bill paid

March 4th, 2015: NVC welcome letter received by postal mail.

March 6th, 2015: Sent both AOS & IV packages via fedex (didn't opt for EP)

March 9th, 2015: packages arrived at NVC office (fedex tracking showed delivered)

March 14th, 2015: received official letter from NVC stating receipt of packages and March 9th, 2015 as the scan date

- she has done an amazing job putting together information!! ... no go read it again, and a third & fourth time ;)

Next, start reading others questions/answers in the monthly NVC thread - http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/529507-nvc-filers-january-2015/

....seeing what errors others have encountered has made me check and double check what and how we would be sending in.....

The State Department (NVC) website is full of info too http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/approved.html

the good news is that there are shortcuts you can take...... you can now send all the paperwork at once, rather than two separate mailings (AOS package and Civil documents).... you will need to do some research & reading to see what your country's requirements are - I could only tell you about Canada's ;)http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.htmlabout two/thirds of the way down you can select your consulate (i.e. Montreal for Canada) and get further information....

Generally the immigrating spouse will need copies (no longer submitting originals to NVC) of birth certificate, passport, marriage certificate, police clearance, and anything else they may need (prior divorce paperwork, military records....) and the USC will need to supply the tax transcripts (the preferred documentation)...

Take your time filling out the I-864 or the I-864ez (whichever you qualify to use) as this is where most of the mistakes (checklists) seem to come from......
