Hi everyone,

Can someone help me with my question regarding i-864 form. So if I filed tax return using form 1040EZ, does it mean I have to use form i-864EZ for affidavit of support? and what line on the 1040EZ is the total income to put in the affidavit of support? please help!!!

Hi everyone,

Using a 1040EZ to file your taxes is irrelevant to the I-864 form that is filled out. Whether or not one can use the I-864EZ is determined by the ability to answer yes to all 3 questions at the very start of the EZ form.

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

August 12th, 2014: I-130 Mailed

August 13th, 2014: I-130 was received by AZ lockbox and transferred to Nebraska SC

August 15th, 2014: NOA1 by E-mail

August 22nd, 2014: Received NOA1 by Mail

February 2nd, 2015: USCIS Approved 1-130 petition (175 days)

February 10th, 2015: Case Status on USCIS website (We sent your case to the Department of State for visa Processing)

February 13th, 2015: Received NOA2 by Mail

NVC (CR-1)

February 17th, 2015: Case Received at NVC

February 27th, 2015: Case & Invoice ID numbers assigned

February 27th, 2015: Submitted DS-261

March 3rd, 2015: AOS bill paid

March 4th, 2015: NVC welcome letter received by postal mail.

March 6th, 2015: Sent both AOS & IV packages via fedex (didn't opt for EP)

March 9th, 2015: packages arrived at NVC office (fedex tracking showed delivered)

March 14th, 2015: received official letter from NVC stating receipt of packages and March 9th, 2015 as the scan date

March 18th, 2015: AOS fee rejected (due to glitch during payment and possibly human error in imputing the bank details )

March 18th, 2015: RE-PAID AOS fee

March 19th, 2015: AOS fee accepted (changed from "in process" to "paid)

March 24th, 2015: DS 261 was reviewed

March 25th, 2015: IV fee was invoiced

March 25th, 2015: IV fee paid - "in process"

March 27th, 2015: IV Payment changed to "paid"

March 27th, 2015: DS 260 completed

March 30th, 2015: Case complete .....21 days from scan date

April 6th,2015: Official case complete email received.

April 22nd,2015: Received interview letter (p4)

April 22nd,2015: Booked medical at medisys for may 6th,2015

May 6th, 2015: Completed Medical

May 11th, 2015: Collected medical result.

May 15th, 2015: Interview appointment - Approved :dancing::dance::dancing: "As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord"

Hey peeps....

Just thought I'd share in case anyone else out there might be thinking this..... at this stage USCIS will only speak to the person who filed the petitions (the USC) not the beneficiary - unless the USC calls and gives authorization for USCIS to speak to their spouse or representative..... just thought I'd share ;)

We're getting close to our 5 month mark and I am really hoping for the NOA2 soon!! I got to spend 2 full weeks with my husband over the holidays and returning back to my house & job here was hard :(

I'm still waiting for my wife's approval as well.

This January 26th will be our 5th month waiting.

For us is going to take somewhat more time as we need to apply for an I-601a waiver.

Hopefully by the time we need to file for the waiver, USCIS has already published the new regulations made by Obama's Executive Orders, which is supposed to make the approval of the waiver much simpler. We can only hope.

10-21-18 N-400 Electronic filing.

10-29-18 Received biometrics notification.

11-26-18 Biometrics taken.

07-12-19 Interview letter received.

08-20-19 Interview passed!

08-30-19 N-445 Notice of Naturalization Oat Ceremony received.

09-24-19 Attended Naturalization Oat Ceremony, My wife is now an U.S. Citizen!

 

I-130 Wife filing for her parents.

09-25-19 I-130 for both her parents sent to Phoenix Lock Box.

10--04-10 NOA1 Received from Texas Service Center, priority date: 09-27-19

04-13-20 NOA2 received from USCIS for her mom. 04-14-20 NVC Welcome email received for her mom.

06-08-20 NOA2 received from USCIS for her father. 06-09-20 NVC email received for her father.

08/2020 Case completed at NVC, now just waiting for their interviews in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
07/2021 Received appointment to attend interview in Ciudad Juarez.
08/23/2021 First interview to basically drop off all the civil documents as requested, they waited about 3 hours.
08/24/2021 Second interview - This is the real interview with a State Dept Agent.  They waited for about 3 hours again before called in. Interview lasted about 5 minute.  -- approved!
10/09/2021 POE: California - Welcome to the USA.

10/09/2021 Paid for Green Card.

12/12/2021 Still waiting for GC's & SS#

I just called USCIS and they told me Nebraska Service Center is working on June 16, 2014 cases right now. I find this really hard to believe especially since I think someone else called a while back and were told they were working July. Sometimes I wonder if it's even worth calling.

I called yesterday and talked to an officer, and the officer said that they are working on June 16, 2014:(

I just called USCIS and they told me Nebraska Service Center is working on June 16, 2014 cases right now. I find this really hard to believe especially since I think someone else called a while back and were told they were working July. Sometimes I wonder if it's even worth calling.

I really hope it is not right! She told me she was looking at a posting from the NSC and that's what it said, but based on Igor's list, July dates are getting NOA2's. Well....I guess we just have to be patient and wait.

Dear August Filers,

Hope you all are inline for good news or already have received it.

My I-130 was approved on the 20th November and sent to NVC.

I am still awaiting for my NVC case number. There has been no correspondence from NVC.

Tried calling them yesterday on 603-334-0700 but it on being busy.

Usually how long does it take to get NVC case number ? Will I receive any letter ?

Will they reply if i send them an email to ask about my case number ?
