The wording of this reply sounds very much like a standard type response - The I-130 is used solely to provide USCIS with details of the petitioner so that they can judge whether or not he's putting forward a genuine case. Thus all I-130's are 'on hold' until USCIS have performed and reviewed the results of 'security checks'.

Strikes me very much as their way of saying 'we've not yet got round to your case and we'll let you know when we do'. On the bright side it does imply that they've actually started to review the I-130 so hopefully it's moving now rather than just sitting in the 'inbox'

Our NOA2 approved on 01/30/2015 states that the NVC will contact beneficiary within 30 days if not to email nvcinquiry. Just sent them an email. Hopefully would hear back.

Has anyone taken the route of writing to this email?

Their phone line is impossible to get through to and the only time my husband got through to them they haven't given any information stating to call back if we don't hear from them within their timeline of 35 days.

We also received an email notification from USCIS on 02/12/2015 that said our case was sent to NVC. Hopefully 30 days would be from the date of approval and not from the date they sent the file to NVC.

Are you calling NVC from outside of USA with no charge? If so please let me know how? Would make life so much easier if I am able to call to from Sri Lanka.

YES! it works for me in Mexico also. Just a google account and you get Hangouts and then you can dial to US.

I just received the NVC welcome letter with all the details (case no & IIN) to my husband's (petitioner) email. Yay! My NOA2 date was 01.30.2015 so anybody around the same time should keep a close eye on their email cos it's on it's way

Any NVC updates for anyone yet? We submitted our I-130 and it was received on Aug 26th, 2014. Just got the notice that it was transferred on feb 12th, 2015 to the NVC. I've been reading the forums and noticing that its best to wait a month before calling NVC to follow up on the case numbers etc so that we can continue with the necessary forms. We're halfway there though! ...keeping hopeful!

My guess is that the only way to go about changing your email address would be to call NVC and give the details. Cos the welcome letter comes to the email address given to USCIS and once NVC starts processing your case you can give your contact details in the DS 261.

I thought there would have been something on line. I saw that you were notified of your acceptance on Jan 30th. Did you receive anything in the physical mail between Jan 30th and March 3rd (when you filled out your DS-260)? Or everything was done via email? Thanks for your help!

I was approved on Jan. 22 and sent to NVC on Jan. 28. I received NVC letter on Mar. 1. The NVC letter is dated Feb. 25

They say this date, then this other date, then another date. I would not trust that one bit... BUT.. many August filers have been approved between Jan and today, so hang in there as yours is surely on the way.
