I´m a newbie and sent filed August 7th! Got a response in my email yesterday that our case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Nebraska Service Center for processing!!! yay! :)

Seems like many of us have been sent to Nebraska. Hopefully it will be balanced out. Received our NOA1 with a priority date of August 6th. And the wait begins....praying for no RFE's!

Noa 1 Aug 7 PD, praying this goes quickly! Our daughter is 3 months now and we really want him home :)

Welcome everybody!!! I am so happy to have so many friends here at August filers. Seems we are all being sent to Nebraska so far, I hope and pray that our cases are processed fast. Many hugs to you all!

Best,

UnaMexicana

I have been waiting since May 27th...still not approved. August get ready to wait until at least January or February. It sucks because after we get the approval we have to wait even more. 2 months and 21 days and I have had enough, all i do is cry....been thinking about quitting work and dropping out of my masters program to be with him until he can come...losing my mind.

Relax dear, I guess most of us had got the idea that it's gonna take months till the I-130 or even the whole case gets approved. Try to stay postitive and stick with what you have to do, like your master program, cheers!

I am with Jean.L. We don't know you but we are in the same joruney as you are. And this is a space to receive orientation in the process as much as it is to be supportive towards each other. You have us to lean on and understand exactly what you are going through.

My advice is precisely the opposite as quitting: stick to your masters program and to your job. Those two will keep you busy and the people you interact with will help alleviate the pressure of being away from your loved one.

Have you thought about the opportunities that you will have when you are finally in the US if you stick to that? Focus on the positive and work towards having a better chance of success once you are over there. School is very important, and the job also gives us a little cushion to start.

I am a member in other groups in Facebook and mostly the early february petitions are the ones being approved at the moment - at least for my country (MX). Six months exactly. So yeah, we need to be prepared for at least Jan or Feb.

Please don't be discouraged, you are three months ahead of us :) and if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask. We are the VJ family!

Best,

UnaMexicana

You filed your I-130 May 27th? Its only been 3 months.. take a deep breath, you are nowhere near the 5 month mark.

We filed in Aug 2013, through the huge backlog that was created in 2013, most Aug filers were lucky, we got our NOA2s around the 6 month mark. I feel that Aug 2013 was lucky, hope Aug 2014 is just as lucky!

Congrats to all of you!

I have decided to graduate from grad school a semester later to go to my husbands country and spend 4 months there. hopefully when i come back he will be coming back with me or just have to wait another few months. I believe this is the best thing to do for my health.

Keep your head up girl, we are here to support you :) Just a bit curious, where are you from? I see we are in the same time zone.

That will show up in your NOA1, the letter that is mailed to you. If you refer to the forms section in this website, you can find examples :)

Just got a notice in email form that our case was accepted and routed to Vermont. :D

Quick question, where can I find the priority date?
