The bottom line is that inevitably Jordan's minority dictatorship will be swept aside and the majority will have their Palestinian state in what is currently called Jordan.
Yet the more I consider the idea of a Palestinian state in the West Bank, the more apparent it is that this is an absurd concept with no possibility of success. Even if the Palestinians wanted such a state, which luckily for Israel, they don't, the inevitable outcome is plain as day. Imagine we create a Palestinian state in the West Bank. And then imagine the day the minority dictatorship in Jordan falls -- and all minority dictatorships throughout history eventually do fall. The former state of Jordan, now re-named Palestine, would naturally absorb the tiny entity called Palestine which Israel created on this side of the border. We would then face an overwhelming military threat sitting
virtually on top of Tel Aviv.

Israel response is very DISPROPORTIONAL

It should be much stronger.

The only reason Gazans are still breathing is because the enemy are Jews and not someone else.

Are we on VJ or on twitter?

No one thinks Syrian genocide or Iraqi oppression is fine.

The thing is, if you look at:

A. the amount of protests against Israel around the world compared with the amount of protest that have to do with all the other burning issues

B. the amount of UN security council meetings or resolutions on Israel compared with the amount of meetings or resolutions to do with other burning issues globally

C. The amount of UN Human Rights Council meetings or resolutions on Israel compared with the amount of meetings or resolutions to do with other burning issues globally

You will understand why people are outraged about the singling out of the only democracy in the Middle East.

The Israelis must be really incompetent genocidists, given that the population of the mob they have supposed to have been carrying out genocide against has increased more than ten times over the last 65 years. The arabs being as incompetent as they are keep assuming that the reason the Israelis haven’t wiped them out is because the Israelis are as incompetent as they are.
The 156,000 Israeli Arabs of 1948 now number 1.6 million. The Arabs, who in 1948 had two years of education, today have 11 years of education. Israeli Arab life expectancy of 79 years is almost 10 years higher than that of Middle Eastern Arabs. Fully 12 percent of university students are Arabs. Arab per capita income ($15,000) is 50 percent higher than for Arab states in the region.

Israel isn't being 'singled out'.

What I do not get is why the left wing is in luv with Islamists who I would have thought would be diametrically opposed to their basic beliefs?

Excellent point and worth asking again.

I would like to know if there is a good reason other than the enemy of your enemy is your friend.

On 9/11, Hamas and their supporters sang celebratory songs, chanted "Death to America" and danced in the streets. The very same group who wants to appease Hamas and other groups of terror also believe that provocative nomenclature causes terrorism. So, they invented new names and phrases like: "Man-Caused Disaster" and "Overseas Contingency Operation."

It is true.

However, it's funny to hear you talk about 'proportion' when just the other day you have suggested that not only are Palestinians serial killers who should be executed but that the Israeli response against Gaza should be much more disproportionate.

Whichever established VJ member you are - you weaken any humanitarian argument you try to make by demonstrating that you are not humanitarian in the least.
