Hello. I am approaching 5.5 months and am at TSC. Since the stated processing time at TSC is now 5.5 months (it was only 5 months when I filed) I will wait that long to send a letter to the congressman/senator. However I want to have it ready to go as soon as I hit the 5.5 mark next weekend. I wanted to know do people send a letter to their congressman or their senator? Or both? Also, does anyone have a sample letter I can look over?

Any help is appreciated.

We contacted both and they didnt help at all. Until your processing time goes past the uscis date they are working on we were told there is nothing they can do. To contact a senator you need to ring them and they will get you to fill out a privacy release form with all your info and the person you speak to will give you the best information as im sure all offices will work differently.

If there is a medical reason etc then you may well have more luck than we did

Everyone has the same problem with TSC center, we waited for 5 months and then my Fiance' called a Senator office and then filled the forms, they said they have case worker in service centers and we should wait for 2 weeks and they'll update us , haven't heard anything yet from TSC center.

I am in the same boat as you. I actually tried to contact my local congressman upon noticing the dilatory processing times at the Texas Service Center. In typical fashion, he did not do anything for me. Politicians these days are only out for their own self-interests and tend to shy away from immigration issues, despite the fact that everyone on here is trying to do this the "right" way. It is a shame that we are all subject to delays and bottlenecks caused by illegal immigrants crossing the border on a daily basis.
