He has to be a US citizen before he could apply to bring her here to live. She could apply for a tourist visa but again it is for 6 months at a time and she would have to go back. The embassy would determine how long a visa is valid for but visits are limited to 6 months per visit. Jamie, the guides are a great place to get info because some times the way people answer you on here come across nasty and yes there are some rude people here...but there are also some GREAT people here giving good info. Wish you best of luck on everything. I always went to guides before I asked anything and usually I could find my own answers.

Also, I did a lot of this WHOLE journey and process on my own without too much advice from here and we got through the whole thing quickly and smoothly.

Okay, thank you. I just need to learn to ignore the nasty ones and take the nice advice!

Report the nasty ones and they'll be removed immediately by the moderators. The more we report things, the sooner this website will become a place that is open for real conversation instead of judgment. I've had to do that a lot here but it's already getting better.
