He's not even a LPR yet and he's thinking about bringing his mother over?

What's wrong with that?!!! AND I am thinking about it with him! I love his mum. What the hell is wrong with that? GEEZE, some people are SO RUDE on here. It's his MOTHER and I consider her my MOTHER TOO. Don't even comment if you have something RUDE to say, FOR REAL. Getting so fed up

How sad he has to wait 3 years to try and get his mum here ugh Thank you

I think by the time he will get his green card it would be like a year or so being in the US . So his mum can apply for a tourist visa if he wants her to stay with him for a while.I have some friends have done that .Most of the time the embassy will give the mother a 5 years visa .She can stay with him for up to 6 months before she has to go back to Egypt .

Nothing's impossible . Nothing's unreachable .When I am weary you make me stronger

This love is beautiful .So unforgettable . I feel no winter cold when we are together .

Will you stand by me ?!!!Hold on and never let me go .

Will you stand by me?!! With you i know i belong . When the story gets told .

When day turns into night .I look into your eyes . I see my future now .All the world and its wonder

This love wont fade away. And through the hardest days . I will never question us .You are the reason my only reason.

I'm blessed to find what i need in a world loosing hope. you are my only believe .

You make things right every time after time.....

Will you stand by me ?!!!

I love you so much and i miss you so much more .

Hindsight is of course wonderful, but this is really something best considered before the process starts.

Part of the who will move conversation.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I am the one who would like her here (to live) more so than him. I don't know if she could handle the plane ride over by herself just for a visit. So, are you saying he can apply to get his mum here after he gets his Green card or after he is a citizen???? I really appreciate your reply :)

I agree with you 100%:thumbs::thumbs: I mean, this is an immigration forum, that's what we're all doing here, immigrating in one way or another, visiting families, moving, etc. That comment was extremely judgemental and ridiculous on so many levels, and as if it's anyone else's business when someone brings a family member to visit or immigrate........it's so annoying!!!

He has to be a US citizen before he could apply to bring her here to live. She could apply for a tourist visa but again it is for 6 months at a time and she would have to go back. The embassy would determine how long a visa is valid for but visits are limited to 6 months per visit. Jamie, the guides are a great place to get info because some times the way people answer you on here come across nasty and yes there are some rude people here...but there are also some GREAT people here giving good info. Wish you best of luck on everything. I always went to guides before I asked anything and usually I could find my own answers.

Okay, thank you. I just need to learn to ignore the nasty ones and take the nice advice!
