Hello all. I have my interview Thursday and want to confirm what else I may need. I have all the documents I order, medical done, results from medical but remember coming across something saying prior to interview you have to purchase a pin at a banco popular or somethjng. Not sure if this is needed or even correct for a marriage visa interview. Also please help with how to prepare payment for visa if approved. Does it have to be cash, check from US financial institution or some other specific way?

I'm confused , I thought the visa fee was $400 for a spousal visa but link says $230 which would be great . The link says to prepare to pay in cash or international credit card but another page of this link says to pay at a banco popular and bring receipt which is correct please

The $230 should had been paid as the IV fee at NVC. The only fee I know for the marriage visa in DR are the Banco Popular fee which is about $15 USD, and Domex which varies but is up to $13 USD. If the $230 wasn't paid at NVC ypu are expected to pay it there. They accept cash dollars or pesos and major credit cards.

The $15 is paid at Banco Popular, is a fee to review your documents, it should say something about it on your appointment letter, which you need plus your passport in order to pay for it. This fee is paid before the interview and you need to take the receipt to the interview as well. If you already paid the $230 you don't need to pay it again. The Domex fee is paid when yoir visa is approved, they give you a slip and you pay it outside.

We took Lorenzo's portfolio of docs to Banco Popular (in the Carrefour off of Avenida Monumental) and they didn't charge a $15 fee for IR1/CR1. I insisted on a receipt proving we were there and tried to pay. Sometimes I don't trust workers there. The manager explained that the fee was for K visas only. Regardless, we weren't even asked for a Banco Popular receipt during any part of the interview.
