Hello dears,

wish you all the best in your journey..

my question is that my fiancee annual income( the formal checks ) doesnt reach the guideline because she works as a nail tech and most of her money is in cash as tips ,so her total income passes the guideline..so any ideas how to prove that ? or do we still have to find a co-sponsor ?

** another question about the household , my fiancee lives in her mom's house. her mom own the house and she lives financially independent of my fiancee..my fiancee also has one daughter lives with her and has a son who lives with her sister and her sister affords his all expenses ,so will he still be counted ? and how to prove that her sister takes care of him financially ?

Thank's in advance

Both children will still be counted as hers for the affidavit of support, because they are biologically hers, unless the sister adopted the son. and to prove the tips and what not add up to the required amount some embassies accept bank statements showing the proper deposits and balances proving tip income.

LOL I emailed your woman about this. I figured they wouldn't count her son as a dependent because on the I-134 sheet it asks if you pay to support them. Maybe Bakemma knows better about this. So, does she have to include her mom a dependent too Bakeema??????? If she can't prove well the tip income I would definitely just do a co-sponsor to be on the safe side. If you guys got denied for being short on income, it will make the process longer

All cash tips are suppose to be taxed. If your fiancee did pay taxes on tipped income then you can just prove it by showing your filing papers. But if you show statements of income that is not taxed it may do more harm than good, if this is the case I would try to find a co-sponsor instead of proving to the government you are committing tax fraud. Good luck on your journey
