Hi guys - sent in my EAD/AP renewal a couple of weeks ago, got the I797 notice of action and then another letter the other day that said that they will reuse my last biometrics and that I don't need to go in for another appointment (which is good right?! They still have my stuff on record!! Ha)

Anyone have to renew their stuff yet? I did it right when I could because I didn't want to worry about not getting it in time of the deadline and I wouldn't be able to work...

Still waiting for my AOS. Haven't had time to sit on the phone and wait to call a Tier 2 yet - and I have various numbers to call...for anyone who has tried calling to check on the process, what is the best number? I just keep getting looped around and I'm not sure if I'm calling the right number.

Thanks guys!!

Interesting that they are telling you they don't have to have you come redo your biometrics. I haven't seen that one before. Everyone else has had to have a new appointment. We can't send Johan's back in until mid-July, and like everyone else, we're hoping he has his green card by then. We will be out of the country when his 120 days hits, and he can reapply. We will likely have it prepared to be mailed, and have my sister pop it in the mail on the day it can go out. :)

Hi guys!!

I just got back from a work trip and got a letter from USCIS - my welcome to America letter! It was dated June 11, 2015.

Weird since I didn't get any email notifications and my case status on the USCIS website has been left unchanged since I filed almost a year ago.

Yay! No interview (I got a NPIW back in mid November), never called the service center to ask...I wonder if this was spurred by me renewing my EAD/AP, so they decided to (finally) look at my case?

Hey Tina and Johan!

How or where did you get the "Expected Green Card Approval Date" from?

Thanks! :)

There's a couple in the NIPW thread who filed AOS in January, 2014, and just got an RFE for expired medical. Same with a couple who filed in March, 2014. But then there are also plenty who just get approved with no RFE. So it's luck of the draw, I suppose. For what it's worth, I too will be quite unhappy if the green card is stalled do to an RFE caused by their lack of efficiency.

Edited to add YEARS to the dates. :(

Hi there! My predicted date is just my own fantasy for when I hope it shows up by. It's based on a game that a bunch of NPIW people were (are) playing to predict, based on others' experiences, when theirs will show up. So far, one guy was a day off. But otherwise, we're all over the map. Most people who were predicting their green card arrival have already gotten it, and have since left the thread. :(

Talked to a Tier 2 officer and he said my papers were sent to Memphis, TN (instead of Raleigh) and it was assigned to an officer and should have a decision in 30 days (the officer has been holding on to it for a month now). I'm glad theres an actual update yay

I haven't been on here or looked at our case since my husband got his EAD, but have started looking again since hopefully he should get his green card soon. But random question, on uscis, has anyone's K-1 visa case been touched recently? For some reason, our was last "touched" or whatever, on June 8th, but obviously our K-1 visa has been useless since last July! I'm just confused on as to why that was touched, but our I-485 hasn't been since they received it on August 29. Has anyone had this happen?

That's odd. I haven't looked at that information since he moved here last July. I wonder why it'd be looked at now? Maybe tidying up files?

Yeah it is odd, but I saw it do that before and after he got his EAD I just didn't really think anything of it at the time. I was on the mobile site, and it lists all the cases under my account including that one, and I saw the day and got excited thinking it was about his green card, but it was about his K-1 case. It's really weird.

Unfortunately received an RFE... Was dreading getting that! They're asking for my moms birth certificate as she was the sponsor, and it has to be the new one (we were all born in Puerto Rico so they gave new certificates in 2010) but I could've sworn I sent it. Oh well, I hope this doesn't push my hubby back too far.

I don't send the official birth certificate correct? Just a copy right?
