My EAD card arrived a month ago, so that's all nice, but my i-485 still says "fingerprint fee received" (and I've already done the biometrics for the EAD card). I'm worried. Should I be?

I'm also showing that status..

So I have received my EAD combo card but no mail regarding the interview yet. Could this mean I might receive a waiver instead? I saw some people got their interview letters with the EAD card so I'm kinda worried if I missed something.

I got my EAD the 14th of november and notice that my interview has been scheduled for an interview online (11/04/14) but I have yet to receive my letter either. The new website should give you a timeline my notice told me if I didn't receive my interview notice by December 4th to put in a service request.

My status online is still "my Fingerprint Fee was received".

My status says fingerprint fee as well.. the avg time to process a family based AOS according to their website is 5 months. I think that's 5 months from when they received your documents.

So I have received my EAD combo card but no mail regarding the interview yet. Could this mean I might receive a waiver instead? I saw some people got their interview letters with the EAD card so I'm kinda worried if I missed something.

Here's what's happening with us... Johan got his EAD approved on Nov 7th. He only got the card and a letter stating that he needed to keep it (the letter) in case he needed to renew in a year's time. About a week and a half later, his son, 10, received a notice in the mail of a potential interview waiver, dated Nov 12th. There has never been a letter for Johan about this. If we look for status updates, it merely says that the fingerprint fee was accepted on August 15th. This date is different than the NOA1 date of August 6th on his formal letter.

I posted in the AOS forum about our K2 receiving a letter to waive the interview asking if maybe he got it because he's only 10, and you have to be 14 to be required to interview. LOTS of views, but only one woman answered saying that her K2 got the letter too, but she's still waiting for either an interview or a letter (Or green card!) in the mail. I was really hoping for more input. If not for this site, we'd be freaked out and confused, and worried. Don't get me wrong, I'm THRILLED that he's now finally able to work, but it's extremely frustrating to wait for either an interview or waiver; the longer the green card takes, the longer citizenship will take, and we're in this for the long haul. So let's get on with this already! I'm sick of this process stalling. :(
