Thanks for the positive replies. :) I'm very relieved!! I did some research with my case #'s, and it's interesting. We have 6 case numbers: 3 each for K1 and K2. ALL of them have a NOA1 date of August 6th but one. And of those 5, none of them tell me where it's being processed, but they're all in "Initial review." Then there's the remaining one with a NOA1 date of August 15th, still in "acceptance" and it tells me it's headed to Nebraska (all my case numbers begin with MSC, which is supposed to be Missouri). Weird. I'm speculating that for some reason, that one case number was the holdup. Anyway... now I feel like I can breathe! The only one I care about being quick is the EAD of course. ;) I'm glad you're all here too to compare/contrast the experience with. :)

Hey everyone,

So I went ahead to the application processing centre in my city (Boston) to see if I could do my biometrics appointment early as a walk in. The people there were really nice and I explained my situation (had already bought plane tickets on my appointment date) and he said that he would do it for me as long as I brought a print out of my itinerary. So I went and found a fedex kinkos and printed my itinerary and went straight back!

I only got biometrics appointment for my i-485 and i-765, but not my i-131 (AP). Weird. But I figured I'd just get those two rolling first and I'll go back once I get my i-131 appointment in the mail.

Castlerosse - if you read this - did you get all three appointment letters in the mail? (I'm assuming you also applied for EAD and AP along with your AOS).

Anyway, the whole process took an hour, mostly waiting. Tip: if your appointment falls on a Monday or Friday, prepare to wait a little longer. They get really busy, especially on mondays. The lady who fingerprinted me commented on how "short" my 45 minute wait was.

Ohh, okay, nevermind.

I was also just filling in my timeline and noticed that on visajourney's timeline, there's no box for biometrics for AP and just did a quick search and I guess I don't need to do biometrics for i-131 (AP).
