and now they're also trying to tell my husband he has to wait until it's after 90 days to file a request. I feel like were back in the awful situation that was the K-1 visa :/ they didnt let us file a request then too!

That's ridiculous. I was told the same thing. Unfortunately I did not have the exact information from USCIS saying you can submit a service request after 75 days to back up what I was asking them. However, I have found this in the meantime: http://www.uscis.gov/forms/tip-sheet-employment-authorization-applications-pending-more-75-days I'm going to call again and say "your website says so!!!" :content: Hopefully this can help you too.

I was going to call today, will let you know what they tell me.

After we told him how the past 10 times we called, that the people said we were in the correct time frame, he did try to help. But then said they're having technical difficulties. Which they've been saying since Monday morning. Please keep me updated on if they assist you with submitting one or not!

So I went to USCIS today to check my hubby's case statuses and I see that the website has changed/been updated. It no longer has the case status options at the top with the bubble to indicate which phase you're in. This is probably not news to you guys, but it just occurred to me that perhaps this is why some people have been having trouble accessing the website.

On a brighter note- EAD should be arriving today (I'm stalking USPS's website) and interview is scheduled for 12/16. I was resolved to thinking that his interview would be until March or April, so this is great news!

90 days since applying for me today! So I made the call.

The girl was very nice, and processed a Service Request for me, for my EAD, and then realized that someone else had literally finalized my EAD and AP in the system, possibly while we were talking! They cut it fine on day 90 lol - But it's in and I guess they officially met the timeline themselves too! (I'm hoping that her putting in the additional request in error doesn't confuse things on my application!).

She said that my EAD card and AP approval notice will go into production today, and that I should receive them within 30 days, and to call back on December 12th if either has not arrived.

I know it varies, but can anyone give me their experience of how long it takes for the EAD card and AP notice to arrive once it's been approved? I'm so glad that I'm getting some movement! Additionally on November 4th my AOS went into the 'interviewing and testing' stage, and it says that a letter with an appointment for interview will be mailed to me... Does this mean that we will definitely be interviewed? Or is there still a chance that we could receive the interview waiver? I've seen others on here say that they have received movement stating something worded a little differently - Along the lines of 'You will be notified when a decision is made, or you will receive a notice if you are required to interview'.

As always, thanks to everyone for the continued support - We had a lovely time in Vegas celebrating our marriage with family and friends, and to come home to some movement with USCIS is a little bonus! :)

Good luck to all of those still waiting, and if you're on day 90, give them a call - It seems that although we've all been made to wait, they are getting things done! :)

Yea I guess sometimes you have to inform them (how crazy). I wonder if those technical difficulties are related to the issues we are having due to their "upgrade" or if it is just a coincidence. All this just before the holidays!!

I will keep you updated. I was not able to call during my lunch just now, will definitely tomorrow or perhaps after work today.

I've been unable to update my ss card and license.. They are pending DHS verification. Never heard that before but, ok.

The lady at the DMV/ DPS told me just don't get pulled over.

Yes, she put one through for me (or at least she said she did), and it was only at the end after it had gone through that she realized that someone else had processed them, and that they were in production as of today.

Which number are you calling? I called 1-800-375-5283, and I got straight through, with only a 30 second wait time.

Definitely try them again. When I've called previously, they have told me that I couldn't put a request in until day 90, although others I have seen have been able to after 75 days... It doesn't appear to be consistent :/

That's the number we've been calling. We haven't had issues being ALLOWED to place a request, just every time they go to do it, they say they're having technical difficulties and that they won't be able to put it. They've been saying that since Monday morning, we've called a total of 12 times.
