I was thinking this very thing! They clearly were giving you the "I don't believe this relationship is real" interview. I'm anxious to see how this turns out. That's insane. If we have an interview like that, Johan will likely say, "#### it, we'll go back to Ireland!" He's already not likely the invasive attitude the USA has with legal immigrants. Please keep us posted.

since I saw that your post was edited for such a simple word, I went ahead and dropped the F bomb in mine.

I'm laughing too hard.

I wouldn't think that they'd interview us like that either! But man, I guess we'll have to get our ducks in a row, so to speak. :crying:

Comic relief, at your service! This process will otherwise make us cry. ;)

That is really depressing. How do they even choose who to go after? I know that I may get some problems. My dad filed for my older sister and I in like 2009 and we were both denied (he was only a legal permanent resident at the time and we had "aged out").

I think it may have been profiling honestly. That was a stupid question. Implying that her parents would not like an Indian son in law and your parents wouldn't like a white daughter in law.

My husband is white and I'm black. I will probably lose my if they ask such a stupid question.

i knw its very frustrating

i didn get that who has two birthday dates..that was so dumb of him asking that..?

yes we live in madison WI

and my wife's name is kristina but her last name is pretty damm different ..

About two birthday dates.. the only thing i can think of is in my home country we would write October 30th, 2014 as 30/10/2014 and in US it would be written as 10/30/2014.. so maybe that's where confusion comes from..

You guys said the officer was Mexican, maybe his in-laws are giving him grief?

Im thinking that the crying question could also be religion based..

I have entered USA as an F1 student in December 2010 and have maintained my status ever since. In August 2013 I met my husband (L) . We got engaged in March 2014 (L) And married in July.

7/9/14 - Got married (L)

8/4/14 - Mailed I-130, I-485 and I-765 to Chicago lockbox

8/5/14 - Package delivered and signed by John

8/7/14 - Texts and emails with NOAs for I-130, I-485 and I-765. ~ Now I have case numbers I can go online 10 times a day and check!!!

8/13/14 - NOAs for I-130, I-485 and I-765 received in the mail. I have an alien number now.

9/2/14 - Biometrics done

9/8/14 - EAD approved!!! (expedited by the local congressman)

9/12/14 - EAD in hand!

@blinkie and August 2014 AOS filers

As others had mentioned in the thread, this a scare tactic they use when there are red flags about the relationship. They use this method to determine if you are lying or showing nervousness by answering questions you possibly could not answer. So don't make up things or answer the questions you have no idea about. (They know this). Listen to how ridiculous the questions are, if you answer it just to invent something, it may reveal that you are lying or have something to hide. Answer the questions that you know to the best of your ability. There are some things about my own siblings that I don't know about. So be truth and honest and you will be fine. I work for the my local police department and this a similar method they use for interrogations for polygraph and employment screenings.
