Contacting your Congressman boosted your approval! Congrats!

Depends on the congressperson. We sent Johan's stuff to ours in mid-September, and they are still not telling us a thing unless I harass them with emails and calls.

thank you :)

thank you!

Stonefreakjen, Congrats! that's fantastic news! :D

Same here, my timeline is very similar to yours - The lady said that the time frame for EAD and AP is 3 months and that I have to call them back after Nov 12th to lodge an SR if I haven't heard anything (I was under the impression that this could be done after 75 days, to ensure that the EAD was processed within 90 days? - Apparently not). I asked about my AOS which is in NEBRASKA, and she said that they are generally processing AOS' within 4 months, so I can't query that until December 14th.

Good luck, and I hope that those people still waiting like myself hear something soon! :)

The woman we spoke to on day 75 was very forthcoming with information! isn't it so weird how your contact depends heavily on who answers the phone and their mood??

We asked about where our stuff was too, and we were told Phoenix, AZ. ??? I'm at a loss and very frustrated. Johan is going crazy at home, studying the drivers license manual, falling asleep every few pages. As frustrated as I am, he's even moreso because he feels like his life is on hold and he can't spend money on something as little as his son's Halloween costume without worry. Like someone already said, you'd think it would be great to not be working, but for immigrants who can't do anything, it seriously blows. :(

Cannot agree more with that. Spending money on the littlest thing is a stressful situation for me. Even though I saved enough to last me through January, the thought that there is no more money after that is so scary. Not to mention the fact that it is almost impossible to budget for every little thing before moving to the U.S. There were so many little costs I didn't even think of.

I sure hope Johan can get working soon. I feel for both of you! :D

I have a question about the interview scheduling. My status has been at Testing and Interview for a long time now.

Will I get a notification about the interview time/date letter being sent out? What are the chances of interview waiver (I'm adjusting from k1)?

It seems like every step of this process comes with its own paranoia... I'm worried I will somehow not receive my interview notification and inadvertently miss the interview! LOL

Hello, I'm new here and I'm glad I found this! I hope you guys could help me please because I don't know what to do! Heres our progress:

AOS

8/1/14- Married

8/18/14- Sent AOS Package (I-130,I-485,I-765)

8/19/14- Chicago lockbox recieved package

8/21/14- I-485 transfered to Nebraska

8/25/14: Checks cashed

8/29/14- NOA1 hard copies received in mail

9/6/14- Biometrics letter recieved

9/18/14- Biometrics completed

10/29/14 STILL WAITING ON SOME TYPE OF RESPONCE

Till today we have got nothing! I keep going to the USCIS website to track our progress and I-130 & I-765 are STILL in Initial Review, and the I-485 is STILL in Acceptance! Also it says for all 3 last updated was 08/25/2014!! 2 months has gone by and still we got nothing. I am so worried. I have called USCIS and all they told me is what i know and they said to call back after 5 months! I'm worried that something is wrong. At least with my package I hope nothing is wrong because my lawyer was the one who helped me do it. I'm a US citizen and my husband is portuguese. He came to the US with the visa waiver program and did not overstayed. We decided to get married on our 5 year anniversary about 1 week before our anniversary! He had been here for 2 months and a half when we got married. We sent in everything on time and everything was filed correctly. I even sent out proof of our relationship. I just don't understand why we still haven't had any news yet. :( please please PLEASE someone give me advise on what to do! Thanks! :)

A bunch of us are right there with you. My AOS is still in Acceptance last update date on i485 and i130 is 8/7/2014. I didn't get any movement on i765 until I called them and then they sent me an RFE lol.

My bio appt was 8/26 btw.

First and foremost, welcome and congratulations! :) Secondly, chill! your timeline is perfectly normal. I promise. We haven't heard anything from our AOS stuff since August 6th. Ours is also still in acceptance. Once 75 days have passed from your NOA1 date, he can call to get some information, but really, things are fine. It has to be he who calls because he's the true petitioner. The wait is frustrating, but I assure you, things are fine. Welcome to our little corner of the forums. :)

Thanks for responding! I found so many people who filed after me and already going to interview this week and I haven't got nothing. I was hoping to go on our honeymoon/Christmas vacation in December but at this rate it looks like that's not gonna happen. bummer. I also checked online what was the processing times for the I-485 but I can't find that for marriage based petitioners. Anyone know? Also I filed I-130&I-485 at the same time, does the I-130 have to be accepted first (5months) then the I-485 or can it be accepted at the same time? So many questions. ahah Thanks!! :)
