Don't think I missed anything?.. Guess I'll just have to wait until I get the actual letter. Just now noticed that is says Request for "Initial Evidence".. dafuq? (pardon my French)

As I don't have experience with K visa AOS processing, my only guess is that perhaps they needed a copy of your NOA2 for the i-129f. I attached a NOA2 of the aproved I-130 to my AOS packet. Also as a side question, are photos needed for the I-765 application?

Best of luck.. hope you're back on track in no time.

It's not K visa.. I came on a B2 (visitor) AGES AGO. I was 11. Married my HS sweetheart recently. I tried adjusting under my dad when I was 19 (2009) but that was shot down really quickly as he was only an LPR at the time. I applied for and got deferred action in 2011. My dad's naturalized now but my S.O. had already proposed..

Edit: They need passport photos. I filed concurrently so I didn't have any previous receipts to attach.

This may be a naive question, but if you already have an EAD (how did you get this before adjusting?), can't you just renew it? I am hopeful this all gets sorted before November for you!

Deferred action. Different category.. AoS is C9 for immediate relative.. Deferred action was c33. A renewal wouldn't have worked..

Just a speculation, the stated processing times for field office does not seem to make any sense. As per website my field office is taking 5.5 months to process AOS, yet my interview is scheduled 84 days after my package was recieved, that is under 3 months, I was not anticipating an interview until February or so, but here it is in 2 weeks...If anyone goes before I do please share your experience. Hope everyone at least have their EAD/AP before this month ends.Good luck and quick turn around to all. peace & love

You should have renewed through daca first then apply for aos. Then you wouldnt have to worry. If you have a job currently, then you should let you employer draft a job letter then you can request an expedite of your ead.

I thought about that but I didn't have the extra $500. Hubby and I put all our savings into the filing.. we're young, just starting out. No money really :(

just got an email from the USCIS asking for a faxed letter from Johan's potential employer. At Day 76, what are the odds that we've actually slowed the process down by creating an RFE through an expedite request?!
