Idk. I'm not sure if I should wait until Oct 18th to call USCIS or try to go through my congressman. I'm not even sure what I have to do to expedite through my congressman.

I also wondered if it's done at random. Some applicants seem have received their cards upon completion of biometrics and others have seemed to be very excited to get their interview notices.

Were you adjusting from F1 OPT? If so if you are eligible for the STEM 17 month extension then there is a cap gap.

If not ask your job for an expedite request. Call your local congressman office and have them send in a request for expedition.

I believe everyone who is adjusting status based on marriage is interviewed.

Can you double check with your HR if you can just send the receipt for I-765? I did that before, because my first EAD expired then I applied for extension and during the period I have not gotten my EAD, the recipt of I-765 application was sufficient. Not sure if this is applicable in your case.

09/05/2014 USCIS case status activated

I-485 is forwarded to Nebraska Service Center (dated 09/02/2014 for the fingerprint fee): Acceptance Status

I-130, I-131 and I-765 are all dated 08/20/2014 (all are at Initial Review)

09/08/2014 NOA hard copies received

09/12/2014 Biometrics appointment letters, scheduled on 09/24/204

09/24/2014 Biometrics done :)

11/08/2014 EAD in production (called USCIS 11/05/2014 and they put in a service request for me)

11/14/2014 Ready to be scheduled for interview! Hooray! :)

11/18/2014 Got my EAD/AP in the mail. ;)

just tell your congressman aide the issue. They know what email to send to the USCIS to have request for expedition. I've heard it being done. Call so you can be sure. I would hate to see you without a job even though it should be here before then.

Thank you, everyone for your ideas. Pretty sure hubby and I would be unable to survive on just one income especially since I make more. And i don't want to lose my driver's license either lol. VJ says it should be adjudicated between the 4th and 9th. I'll contact congressman if I hear nothing by then.

That's great news! I think you should get all your stuff together now so you won't have to do as much when you get the actual date.

Thank you, everyone for your ideas. Pretty sure hubby and I would be unable to survive on just one income especially since I make more. And i don't want to lose my driver's license either lol. VJ says it should be adjudicated between the 4th and 9th. I'll contact congressman if I hear nothing by then.

Mine says between the 4th and 9th also. I hope it's true!

As for contacting our congresswoman, we did that, and have never heard a thing back. We haven't been too proactive since sending in the authorization, but I'm figuring the ball has been dropped. his family will be here beginning Sunday for 2 weeks, so no rush now.

Casttlerose crossing my fingers for you. I was in the same boat in September, but thankfully I could get the Cap gap extension. I think your employer will be fine with a copy of your reciept (I-797) that says you're in the process of adjusting your status. I have a coworker who filed i-130 and I-485 packages separately, her OPT expired in May and she just turned in her reciepts, and is still waiting on her EAD.
