Neither I-485 or I-765 statuses have changed yet, his biometrics were last monday. Hoping to see something change soon especially since the woman who did his biometrics said he would have his EAD in 2-3 weeks.

my local office is Norfolk, VA. Looking at the timeline the last case they processed as of the 31st July 2014, was the 1st March 2014. So about 5 months processing time. With that said, my NOA1 date is 13 Aug 2014, so I am hopefully of a green card and this process to end in January 2015!

How are other August filers getting on, any EAD's yet? (Apart from expedites!)

Dumb RFE is dumb.

I checked my status this morning and noticed it had switched from "Acceptance" to "RFE for initial evidence". I checked my package over at least 5 times, there was nothing missing. I haven't received the actual notification by mail, so I don't know what they are looking for. It was sent out the 16th, so hopefully I will get it by the end of the week.

I'm just stressing now because I want to start working so badly and I've read that an RFE can delay your EAD.

I've been here since June, and while I saved up enough to cover me until EAD, after the AOS fee and moving to a new apartment, my funds are dwindling.

Feeling a little overwhelmed.

AOS

August 26, 2014: NOA1

September 16, 2014: RFE for further evidence of Joint Sponsor's current income

September 24, 2014: RFE response recieved

September 25, 2014: Status changed to "Request For Evidence Response Review"

October 9, 2014: I 485 changed to "Testing and Interview"

October 9, 2014: EAD changed to "Card/Document Production"

October 9, 2014: AP changed to "Post Decision Activity"

October 18, 2014: EAD and AP arrive in the mail!

oh boo! :( I can totally understand your worry. I am actually hoping Johan's AOS takes a little bit of time so that it gives him a chance to get his EAD before a possible RFE hinders the process. He's got a possible issue that would warrant an RFE (paperwork needed from the police regarding an arrest and dropped charges. these are documents that weren't needed for his K1, but are now needed for AOS!). We sent the package in with what he did have, in the hopes that it would be enough, but who knows? If his EAD is slowed down because of this, we're financially tight. Like hot dogs and ramen tight. That's one reason he's pushing for an expedite. not only does he have a job already lined up, but also there's risk of an RFE. :( Hang in there!

PS: checked today: "acceptance"

Castlerosse,

Did you notice that if you select Dallas as field office and check the processing dates, it shows that the current processing date for I485 is November, 2013?? :dead: Are these dates reliable? If so, that is ridiculous! 10 months sounds horrible!

10/14/2014 (Day 72) Interview at Dallas field office- Approved! Case status updated to Card production on same day.

Posted (edited)

Received the NOA for EA approval today! :dancing:

I had the biometrics on 8/28 so it took 22 days to get approval. Much faster than I expected to be honest.

USCIS gods are being nice to me so far this time around. **knocks on wood**

I hope everyone else sees updates on their cases as well!
