Just got a letter in the mail stating that my deferred action expires in 100 days and saying it's imperative I reapply.

Also there was an AR-11(?) Attached saying I never informed them of my change of address. Although I'm positive I did and shouldn't they know there's another application pending?

-a little nervous

I'm a late August filer, I've procastinated enough, just had to mail it and let the anxiety begin, plus we didn't have the ridiculous filing fees.

Got married 8/9/13

Filed I-130, I-485, and I-765 to Chicago lockbox on 8/25/14.

Delivered on 8/26/14, signed by JC

Recieved email/text NOA/check cashed on 8/29/14

Waiting for my hard copies now. USPS has had problems delivering my mail recently, I called them to rectify and they said that as long as it's addressed properly, it should be fine. Crossing my fingers that they don't mess this up. So nervous!!!!!

Waiting for my hard copies now. USPS has had problems delivering my mail recently, I called them to rectify and they said that as long as it's addressed properly, it should be fine. Crossing my fingers that they don't mess this up. So nervous!!!!!

With regards to mailing issues - I had the same. I had to go into my local Post Office and complete a new resident form, and they also advised me to clearly label the mailbox with both my maiden and new married name, to ensure that the mail would be delivered.

I had several important documents, including overseas police checks that just never arrived, and I had to get them redirected by my mum - It would appear that any hand written mail, would be delivered, but anything official looking, or with Government stamps on, wouldn't! It was a nightmare! We couldn't figure out what was going on!

So yeah, maybe an idea to go into your local PO and make sure that they have everything on file, and definitely mark up your mailbox!

You could do without lost USCIS forms at this stage in the game!

Good luck! :)

No, when I tried to do it online, there was no option for a previous overseas address, only a US address - And you have to provide a previous address. So I was unable to do it.

So I actually went into the Post Office - I believe it was a standard 'New Resident' form that I completed, I just explained my situation from coming in from overseas. The guy at the Post Office acted like it was something I should have known - But it's not readily advertised as far as I'm aware! I just had to put my name (maiden and married) and also my husbands name and our housemates name, with the address, as they use the form to completely update the details in there system. They also advised me to mark up the mail box with all the names, which I did (I believe this was for the benefit of the mail man, as they too take some responsibility when delivering Government docs). I haven't had an issue since thankfully! :)

Hopefully you'll get it done in time to receive your NOA's - If not, and they don't arrive within two weeks - Give them a call and explain, I'm sure if you can get hold of someone that they will be able to resend the documents.

Good luck! :)

Did you have any other applications with USCIS before the current ones? My first thought on this was that you had something pending when you sent in your current application and the old one got deferred action. Anyway, fingers crossed everything works out.

I have entered USA as an F1 student in December 2010 and have maintained my status ever since. In August 2013 I met my husband (L) . We got engaged in March 2014 (L) And married in July.

I got deferred action November 8th 2012 so it's due to expire soon.. i was just shocked that they would send a letter reminding me to reapply when I currently have an AoS pending.

Maybe the name change threw them off?

It was the name change most likely. Today when i had my fingerprints taken they showed me that they changed my name in the system

My notification emails said National Benefit Center, but the status of my I-485 says Nebraska Service Center on the uscis website. Still waiting on the hard copies of NOA.

Will be home tomorrow so I can go to the post office. I find it to be extremely wierd that they're not delivering my items, and I've lived at this address since January, and in this town for six years.
