Fox viewership is 2 million or so.

Population of US is north of 300,000,000.

It would be nice if the likes of MSNBC and Fox were replaced with Channels I would like to watch, but supposedly it is a free country.

I find it more interesting that there is no market seemingly for what I would like to watch/listen/read?

Hannity and others are the reason Fox News is regarded as a joke in the industry. Hannity lacks personal skills, he can't interview anyone without getting emotional and angry. He is the opposite of what journalism should be and I am sure this episode will be used in classrooms around the world as one interview that breaks all the ethics of acceptable journalism. He lost control of the interview early on, and as expected, ended up with egg all over his face. His show would be better suited for Tru TV or Commedy Central.

Expanding further, with his interview he quite possibly furthered the Palestinian cause more than any other TV pundit in recent days. He treated his guest with contempt and ignorance, refused to allow Youssef to answer his questions and completely denied his gues the expectancy of airing a point of view. He just as well should have interviewed two paper cut outs.

Anyone watching this would infer, albeit incorrectly, that all of America has no interest in hearing anything Palestine has to say in this conflict and that all of us have notiing but unmitigated contempt for their coutry.

I would not be surprised if Hamas doesn't award him a prize for this coup in free pro-Palestinian propaganda.

What percentage of the US population would have a clue what you were talking about if you asked them about this interview?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

What does it matter. Does it somehow take away from the extremism present in the content? What point is being made here?

Incidentally, Fox News is available in more than 90 million homes across the US (the average is 2.5 people per home) and the channel gets an audience of nearly 3 million people every single evening. It's the number one news channel in the U.S. - and it's not the same 3 million people watching hours of their programming night after night - most people come and go.

I was looking at all the channels I have available, a good 75% I have never even flicked through.

I can not believe the top news shows are on cable.

BTW by far the worst show I have come across so far is Keep Hope Alive, on the Radio. I keep listening, can not believe a lot of what I am hearing.

Radio 5 Live for me.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

it's infotainment, not "news".

They are selling twinkies, pepsi, cars, etc. Not much difference from chaining up a Palestinian against the wall and whipping him between commercials.

Or the videos of muslim women being buried neck deep then stoned. Talk about passing the time!

Tens of millions take it as news. Most people don't spend the time to review foreign press, to look into history - not even a fleeting moment.

It's so captivating to get our talking points daily from infotainment. They've got the democratic vs. republican position on everything for you, before you even wake for the day. Or they'll call it liberal vs. conservative.

Really, the more important things are kept secret from us while every phone call we make is monitored to make sure you're not a subversive. Why can't we see the hundred thousand illegal aliens? One little blondie girl is missing for 24 hours and that's all we hear about 24/7 in the press. Our priorities, "news wise" are geared towards drama. Sex. When the girl goes missing, publishers worldwide hope that she's being raped by some arch-villain. A cross-country chase with her getting raped daily and then a swat team takes the guy out. .50 caliber sniper through the eye. 500 million live worldwide audience. Another moon landing. One million dollars per second ad revenue.

So these hundred thousand illegals: it is hard to make good decisions when the government is hiding them from view and making the decisions secretly. While republicans and democrats at the ground level are busy shouting at each other which one is more to blame.

Dysfunctional.

I think its very suspect that very few of the posters in this thread have actually commented on the Hannity segment with the Yousef Munayyer.

Why is it more important to downplay the whole thing thanthan simply admit that it is garbage and promotes extremist views?

Is it wrong to just admit that?

Hannity and others are the reason Fox News is regarded as a joke in the industry. <snip>

The only joke is that when you post anything besides +1000

it is so far removed from facts, that most of scratch our heads?

The joke is so far ahead in the ratings war, there is not even a close second. What a joke, right ? Maybe it's because they report a viewpoint that is not predigested politically correct hoarse poo like most of the other networks Why does one news source out of 6 or 7 major players, that is not in the DNC back pocket anger the leftnistas so much ? Is it because so many see thru MSNBC,CBS lean and FOX news is so far ahead in the ratings ? Yes Fox news leans to the right and is outnumbered about 7-1, yet owns the industry.
