Yeah I spoke too soon. I just got mine too. And I called NVC to ask about the IV Fee Invoice. Apparently, everything takes 60 days now. So I have to wait 60 days from when they received the DS261, we pay, and we send docs, and wait ANOTHER 60 days.

They received my AOS on 7/8/2014 too, so that makes 9/6/2014 the 60th day which is a Saturday. And I am already expecting a Checklist due to not putting "N/A" on the Mailing Address portion of I-864A. Guess I won't expect for this case to be done until next year. Shame!

This has been the longest, most painful experience I have with the DoS. I didn't have any issues for my K1 to US Citizenship, and now for my parents' visa. :crying::cry:

I went ahead and sent a corrected AOS 'cos I made the same mistake . I don't think it would hurt anything.

I got the email today :( But I have a question. I also have an approved I-129 for a spousal visiting visa. Can we use it instead? and if we decide to use it, will it affect the current process with the NVC? Does anyone know??

It's not a spouse visiting visa, it's a K3 visa which is used for immigration (even though it's a "non-immigrant" but you can adjust your status with the visa.) If you are processing the IR1/CR1 path then the K3 path is likely closed to you by the NVC.

I got the 60 message via email today. My AOS checklist got delivered to the NVC on Monday and the email was in regards to the receiving the documents and to inform me of the extended wait.

Not sure if this is just a standard message they send to everyone. Curious as well if checklists fall back to the beginning of the queue or set aside in a separate queue since most of the information is loaded in the system already.

Definitely makes my checklist for leaving blank spaces instead of N/A more annoying.

This is really bad. I would be skipping fall semester and even spring if they couldn't fix the ccd problem. If they won't be able to fix it this august or september, 60 days could be extended or worse be no visa policy. And plane tickets would be more pricey because of the peak season. -_-

60 days may not be true for all cases cos I just received an email today to pay IV fee which today marks the 38th day from when they said they received my DS261.

Same here, responded to a checklist and they scanned it Aug 24, but its only one paper (I-864A) hoping its not as long for checklists...

Sorry to say but checklist responses also follow the 60 day time frame. I sent my checklist response on July 10 and still havent been reviewed.
