is this 60 days for everyone? i sent aos n checklist response on july 7, so means i will also have to wait 60 days? :'(

Yes you may. The timeline has gone from 30 business days (in reality 45 days) to 60 days (not just business days.) So the increase is really only about 15 days. Granted that's 2 weeks and feels like forever, but it is what it is. I'm sorry.

Hi everybody good day to all I just got off the phone with NVC and they said they were behind in their cases so now we have to wait the extra time to catch up with all their cases so now it's 60 days to review all we send in that sucks the good old worthless government for you

I just got mine today too.

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 08-JUL-14.

We are currently receiving an increased number of approved petitions from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. As a result, we are experiencing increased review times for documents received.

We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete the review of your documents. We will notify you when we review your documents.

We are working to reduce these processing times and we appreciate your patience.

The bad thing is I had sent in my AOS packet and I think it was received on the 8th which is what documents they are referring to. I have been waiting 3 weeks now for my IV fee to unlock and become available. I believe that means that whenever my IV fees unlock, show paid, and they receive my IV packet, I will get to wait an additional 60 days for them to review the IV packet as well. :wow: :crying:

I had sent in a checklist response on June 18, and I got this same notice today. Not happy, because the checklist I received and replied to in the first place was actually a mistake on their end, but the NVC operator told me I had to send in an email clarifying things anyway.

Sorry to say, Gary1988, but it may be that you are in my situation. I'd double check though, call again before you send an email, because it is not pleasant waiting 2 months extra for them to read an email that is in response to a mistake on their end!!!

I am hoping the 2 months is just to get people off their back. Technically though, it is NOT just 2 weeks more they are adding, because they are now saying it will take them AT LEAST 60 days, they didn't say AT LEAST with the 30 business days. I am hoping and assuming the AT LEAST part is bogus.

Anyone get processed recently? If so what was your actual wait time?

Yeah I spoke too soon. I just got mine too. And I called NVC to ask about the IV Fee Invoice. Apparently, everything takes 60 days now. So I have to wait 60 days from when they received the DS261, we pay, and we send docs, and wait ANOTHER 60 days.

They received my AOS on 7/8/2014 too, so that makes 9/6/2014 the 60th day which is a Saturday. And I am already expecting a Checklist due to not putting "N/A" on the Mailing Address portion of I-864A. Guess I won't expect for this case to be done until next year. Shame!

This has been the longest, most painful experience I have with the DoS. I didn't have any issues for my K1 to US Citizenship, and now for my parents' visa. :crying::cry:

I spoke with NVC today after about 70 calls they answered. Waited 37 minutes on hold and a woman came on and told me they have no info on my case and to email my case number to nvcresearch@state.gov My approval is dated 11 June 2014.

Well good luck, I hope that things will speed up for you and your parents can arrive here sooner then you expect. It is a big bummer as things seemed to be progressing ahead of schedule for me. We can only hope the delay is not as bad as it appears!

hey, i'm almost in the same situation. i have submitted civil documents like 2 months ago. yesterday i got a checklist in email about my birth and marriage certificates but i already sent all the original documents . called nvc the lady said they didnt review the civil documents yet. in email the mentioned that during the reviewing of documents they found certificates missing. its all confusing me. should i wait for couple of weeks or write something to nvc?? dont know what to do. any suggestions???

same situation . i got the checklist regarding my ploice clearance even i sent all my original civil documents.I called nvc to confirmed but said that my PCC is not on their system so i dont have any choice just to re-sent again.I wait for almost 2 months before my case was complete.I guess much better for you to call every week to confirm

I got the email today :( But I have a question. I also have an approved I-129 for a spousal visiting visa. Can we use it instead? and if we decide to use it, will it affect the current process with the NVC? Does anyone know??
