I talked to DFA on the phone yesterday... I don't think you can set a 2nd appointment until after 30 days from the 1st appointment. You have 30 days to return to the branch of the 1st appointment with necessary documents (you don't need an appointment for this).... I hope I'm wrong about having to wait 30 days to set another appointment for a different DFA branch, otherwise my fiancé will have to wait til after Aug. 19th.

Has anyone out there made a 2nd appointment less than 30 days from your 1st appointment?

Thanks.

Just want to comment about this. You can cancel the appointment un dfa website. Then you can make another appointment. Dfa told me they're very strict and you have to be on time. But i got there and hour late. I was hesitant to go but i still tried. The guard look at my appointment slip the he let me in.lol

You can get a certificate or copy of her voters application in comelec intramural Manila it has her picture in it (if she doesn't have a voters is yet ) in my experience I don't have any id just birth certificate from nso nbi clearance and the paper from comelec. It takes 3 try before I got my passport

Yes, you can cancel an appointment that you have not yet gone to, but it is my understanding that once you go to the appointment and you have been denied the passport because you don't have the acceptable photo ID, then you have to wait 30 days to make another appointment because I was told by DFA that you have 30 days to return the DFA branch you first went to with your ID. After 30 days that first appointment and branch expire from the DFA system and at that point you have set a new appointment. I don't think the DFA computer appointment system will allow you to have one current active appointment and set a 2nd appointment at the same time - again, this is after you have already visited the DFA branch for your 1st appointment.

Hope that makes sense...

If anyone has any first hand knowledge of making a 2nd appointment within 30 days of a DFA branch visit, please post your story here.

Thanks.

  • 2 weeks later...

My fiancé finally got her passport approval today at SM Manila DFA branch... she will pick it up on Aug. 28th! One more hurdle down.

Big sigh of relief :dancing:

NVC still doesn't have a case number for me - TSC sent out my paperwork to NVC on July 14th... Has anyone else experienced this long between NOA2 and NVC processing it? It's been 25 business days today.

Just hope NVC processes it by the 28th of August, so we can move to the next step - scheduling.
