I am a web developer and absolutely love what I do as well as the company I work for...the best part about doing something you love for a living is getting paid for it :D

It changes day by day. Some days I find it rewarding and other days it's a means to an end.

I've worked many many jobs in the same career path. I'm a cpa and I've worked for public accounting firms doing both audits and doing taxes. That wasn't rewarding in the least bit. I've worked as a controller and that stressed me out just as much and was equally unrewarding. Now I'm an internal auditor and that seems to be the best fit for me. I love catchin' the bad guys.

When my patients 'behaving', i like my job. When they're driving me crazy, i'm thinking to at least get certified and get paid more for the same thing. But with overtime and my family situation right now I don't really have time for going to school for a couple of months - planning to, sometime soon. As they said in one of the Jackie Chan cartoons, my name is Low Pay (for now).

The good thing is that my bosses are my patients - i go to their houses. Sometimes it sucks, sometimes it doesn't.

Met online - May 2004

Met in person - August 2004

Got married - May 2005

Filed I-130 - July 2005

Filed I-129 - August 2005

Interview - February 2006 - 221(g) - still under investigation.

Another useless interview - July 2006 - got nowhere!

August 23, 2007 - he's finally here!

Wow I would trade jobs with you for a week

I have studied Historical linguistics of my mother language Magyar in the country I born/grew up in. I found it to be a very challenging and stimulating to find out the properties and stuctures of the language and how it transformed over time. Unfortunately, immigrating to the US I was not able to really utilize my profession. In fact, my degree is pretty much worthless here. (One reason living in Algerie sounds pretty good)

Up until the Autumn, when I went to Algerie I was continuing my education... earning that American dipolma too  so I can earn the real dollars. And working as a Book buyer in marketing at a major book store chain. That was rewarding also, being paid to research and read books. Seems almost like a dream job. Right now, after coming back to the US and being disgusting with having to "start again" seems like from stratch I do translations. Which is good. I am self-employed, I set my own hours and have time with my daughter.

Wow, I can not believe I almost missed this great trend. I think I love my job, I do not want to speak to soon. Being in the Navy has enhanced my life in a million different ways. The money is ok, the work is not bad, the free things (like passports), the traveling and getting paid extra to do it, free college. etc. I mean the extras is what this all worth, I even get a discount on my rent and no deposit. I never thought I would ever be this far in school and now when I go home I must say that I can not believe what I have come from to what I am now.

I also volunteer at the Mosque and teach and I love it. When I was in school with the military the top person in the class and they would have me tutor other people, they excelled to the point that I was #1, the next one I tutor was #2 and the other was #3. I was told that I was good and at the Mosque I get all of the parents telling how much the students love being in my class and are excited to come. It is great to see them get excited. I think I would love to do this however the money is not that great. I am thinking maybe doing some part time work or maybe getting orders to instructor duty in the military. As a back up plan I am thinking of getting the certification to teach English so if I plan to move to Morocco I can maybe teach English there.

My dream job is with the UN and once upon it was to work at the embassy. After this little encounter I do not think I would do well in a job with the embassy? (Because I think I would choke the lady that denied even if we where co-workers.) However working at the World Bank or something in this caliber would be interesting I think.
