It looks like we have finally been approved after sending in our requested documents! The Case creation date has changed to yesterday's date and status is "ready" and open. We are just waiting for it to be issued now. I am assuming it may take a few extra days with the News announcement that DOS is running at a limited capacity. Is anyone else being affected right now waiting for their visa to be issued at Montreal or Vancouver?

7-31-14 Case Creation Date changed

According to an experience someone else had for their K-1 visa in Vancouver, it only delayed her visa by a day or so. Really not bad at all! The problem was system-wide and actually affected their systems worldwide. We are dealing with a ROBA (Report of Birth Abroad) for our son, and they didn't mention any delays in it getting to us, which is great. So even though our interview is soon (Aug. 15) I'm not worried. I hope your visa gets to you quickly!!! It really seems like the waiting is the worst!

It seems everyone that is out of the USCIS is affected by it. Hoping for a fix soon!
