That's pretty country specific. He would need to check if DR will allow him to leave with unpaid tickets. US has nothing to do with it.

I know there are countries you can't leave with debt. So i guess he needs to check and find out. Can't imagine a transit ticket but every country is different with their own rules.

Checking back in. Interview on the 7th. Recieved Blue slip for 10 year residency and timeline. Today went to turn those in and recieved an OK for my wife to come to the states. Sooooooo stoked!!!!! Thank you everyone who've helped me along the way. VJ is truly a blessing.

Thank you, I am not in AP so wish to get the visa in hands in less than a week.

Excellent, thank you. I will reserve the ticket for 1week interval and hope it would be more than enough.

I would make sure you have tickets you can change dates with minimal price. You have seen the Visa issue problems globally and they still aren't fixed. I know people still waiting for visa approval and no visa since July.

That's why they say make no plans for travel until Visa is in hand you never know.

Have you checked others from your embassy and seen if any issues with visa issuing?

I just found out I need a police certificate to do the medical in London, from the website. So I really need to get that done quickly. The rest of the documents are so easy to obtain that I think I will just drop the rest of the cash for peace of mind. I cannot believe how unprepared I am coming off right now. Documents documents documents...... I have no comment.

Ah yes, you're right on that account! You'll also need a passport photo for your medical as well as any past medical history or immunizations. :)

Helllloo everyone, hubby s interview was on Aug 14th at Mumbai consulate, everything went well!! NVC asked us to bring a new AOS to the interview because we missed one question on the form. But during the interview, they didn't even ask for it. Interview was easy. They said they visa will be ready to be picked up in a week. :idea::idea::goofy:

Interview was on August 5, I received visa on August 6 :) Everything was smooth and easy, people in Embassy were more than kind.

I'm traveling on August 23.

:lol: Kind of wish I'd been there with mine as well, but he did great! We just went through the list of items for him to bring on interview day about 30 times during our Skype calls, haha. I'm sure you guys will do great too!! London's a piece of cake ^_^
