To put your mind at ease .. my hubby had his interview August 4th and was approved - without any copies of original civil documents because they were submitted to the NVC. I believe we all sent copies of our civil documents already along with the originals, yes? This may just be a reminder to bring them in case you did not provide them already. Sure, it's better safe than sorry, but he wasn't asked for anything other than his passport, passport pictures, DS-260 confirmation, and courier instructions - that's it! :)

I just found out I need a police certificate to do the medical in London, from the website. So I really need to get that done quickly. The rest of the documents are so easy to obtain that I think I will just drop the rest of the cash for peace of mind. I cannot believe how unprepared I am coming off right now. Documents documents documents...... I have no comment.

Thanks for your help.

Daniel

Checking in.. CC on August 12 :)

Is there any way to tell if an interview has been scheduled besides calling? Just that we're currently on holiday so calling is difficult! Does ceac update at all? Even just to know that a date had been scheduled, regardless of when, would be good...

The interview email (P4 letter) arrives fairly quickly, so calling is not absolutely necessary. Your CC timing is perfect. They started the second round of September scheduling in earnest earlier today.

Drop all the cash to get the documents again, it could work for everything. That is a fantastic idea actually, thank you!

No need for that... just ask your spouse to scan and email you civil docs (the ones from the IV package you sent to NVC) and bring printouts with you to the interview.

Surprised that medical required a Police Clearance. Call them back and let them know the embassy will get it direct from NVC. Maybe they'll waive it, or all they need is a copy of the PCC you sent to NVC.

Thanks :) my husband had his medical this morning and it was finished much more quickly than anticipated, so we made it home in time to call NVC before we head to the airport. On hold now so hopefully we will have a date before we head off. Good to know the email comes quickly though in case we don't get a date today and can't call next week :)

It is funny, I should be celebrating this, but no it is just another ..... storm to deal with. I just need to pull this off, before the guy in the US who offered me a post-doc gets sick of waiting. Also before I need less than a years therapy to sort me out. Both me and my wife are a real mess right now, this whole process has wrecked us.

I am not sure if I need to bring an updated i-864 for my husband at the interview...

He (U.S citizen) was in Japan when we sent the documents to NVC and were approved.

We have a co-sponsor due to my husband's foreign income.

Then he moved to America and got a job. Should we prepare the updated i-864? My interview is coming soon.

Thank you for your help!!

Don't need any prompting  .

I've been calling almost daily since I got CC. Last time was 4 hours ago. Still no news. This round of scheduling still has two or 3 business days left in it at least.
