On hold now, but based on my previous phone calls, I'm worried nothing will come of it. Then again, third times a charm?

The medical was already done on 7/25 and the embassy already has it. I will see how long it takes for ceac to change and then we will make our decision. We have a trip to Stockholm Aug 29-Sept 6 and would hate to screw that up.

Hi everyone!

I got my interview date today (29th of Sept) I am just a little concerned about a line in my interview letter which states:

"photocopies of all civil documents"

Can anyone please confirm with me what these documents are please?

Many thanks

Daniel

Photocopies of all docs you sent to NVC just in case one of them grew legs and ran away.. It's best just to have copies of everything you submitted to NVC in hand at interview so you don't get issue an 221g waiver. It's just purely for a "Just in case".

Civil docs: all the documents you sent in the IV package.

I have messed up so badly. Anyway I can get those copies, they are in the US with the NVC? What is a 22g1 waiver?

How have ever made it this far..........

The letter tells everyone to bring photocopies to the interview. It's just a standard thing. Nothing about messing up.

A 22g1 waiver is just something they issue saying they approved the visa, but are waiting on certain documents to be submitted, then the visa can be issued. I haven't seen NVC ever lose anyone's documents, but it's just a precaution to take copies of the docs just as a precaution.

It seems like we make a major error every single no matter how much we read or anything, I feel completely blind with a blind partner. Everything I am doing is reactive.............. how am I getting away with this?

If they get the documents will I be alright, or do I absolutely need those copies regardless of anything? I know the process is very unforgiving.

Every letter the NVC sends out about interviews and what to bring has photocopies of documents to interview on there. It's standard. I'm pretty sure if you're in the UK you could easily obtain your birth certificate, etc. I'm sure your wife could send you a copy of the marriage license again? It's about $3?

Drop all the cash to get the documents again, it could work for everything. That is a fantastic idea actually, thank you!

To put your mind at ease .. my hubby had his interview August 4th and was approved - without any copies of original civil documents because they were submitted to the NVC. I believe we all sent copies of our civil documents already along with the originals, yes? This may just be a reminder to bring them in case you did not provide them already. Sure, it's better safe than sorry, but he wasn't asked for anything other than his passport, passport pictures, DS-260 confirmation, and courier instructions - that's it! :)
