Finally (after 10 business days) had a response back from the Sydney consulate - our interview is now on the 9th of September (brought forward from the 16th) :dancing:

Gives us a bit of breathing space so we can fly as planned on the 23rd and we will still make it to see Outkast in Atlanta on the 27th. When we bought those tickets months ago we never considered that we would be cutting it this tight! I'm not sure whether my husband has been more stressed about packing our house up or the prospect of missing the concert.... men (L)

I want 9/9...lol that's my anniversary, but right now I'm still waiting for interview date...

Good luck on your interview... 11 more days!! :goofy:

Hi to you all,

I just want to let you all know that my husband went for his medical examination yesterday in Moscow and he told me that he had to pay for extra 3 injections which he was giving all the 3 injections at once and overall all went well and he was given his medical result and was told never to open the first one which must be submitted during the interview. His xray and second medical record is for him. I thank God everything went well. I just can't wait for me to fly to Moscow and bring him back with me.

Guys, my interview is next Tuesday in London and I would love some help on one thing - my wife lives in the UK with me, and has this past year as she is a student on an MSc program and has a student visa that will expire January 2015 (thus has to return to the US)

****by the way she is coming with me to the interview****

my question is about re-establishing US domicile ..... firstly I'm not sure she abandoned it as she was a full time student

However we also have the following to prove her "intent to return" to the US

1) A job offer letter with a start date of 15th September.

2) He company has paid her flights back (and mine when i get the visa) and has paid for an apartment for 30 days, I have a copy of the details sent by the HR manager of her new company

3) we have already contracted a shipping company to pack and move our belongings and will get a letter form them stating so.

4) email to our landlord confirming we are moving out of our rented property in the UK

5) emails from the landlord about viewings on our property

6) printouts from the web showing our property is back up for rent

Does this all sound like it will squash the issue if raised by the CO?

Thanks :)

You wouldn't know anything is going on in Moscow when you walk around. Just like in the US, people aren't really affected by it personally. News coverage, propaganda, and politicians are making the most noise.

Nope NVC doesn't care. 100% the CO. It's the embassy that you have to show all that stuff. NVC just want to see the money and documents.

Now just the timeline page. Not everyone has a signature. But going to your timeline and filling out would be great and helpful for those behind you.

Nope NVC doesn't care. 100% the CO. It's the embassy that you have to show all that stuff. NVC just want to see the money and documents.

Now just the timeline page. Not everyone has a signature. But going to your timeline and filling out would be great and helpful for those behind you.

ok cool, thanks....

Also, we have a recent mortgage offer (in her name) from BOA and some correspondence from our realtor for a house we want to buy .... shall i bring this as it is pretty solid!

.... What about interviews for me? I have lined up a few for when i arrive, is this a good thing to include or not?
