Just called & they have not started scheduling for October yet. I was told it would be next week. But historically they have always scheduled in the last week of every month. So I am hopeful for tomorrow :)

My interview day is approaching and I was gathering all required materials.

From the interview letter I could confirm 'photographs' were already sent to the embassy, however the letter also says I should bring 'two passport size photographs' for the interview.

I am not sure if I would need to bring two more photos in addition to the ones I've already sent to NVC. Any advice? thank you.

Bring new photos. ID photos are supposed to be no less than six months old. Because of delays at NVC, sometimes your photos are not as new as they'd like them to be. They really like "recent" photos for the Green Card.

Hello!!

I'm starting to panic right now. My visa was approved last Thursday; my flight is this Sunday and the CO told me to pick up my passport on Friday.

The thing is that my case status shows Administrative Processing since last Friday and it hasn't been updated since Monday. And tomorrow the consulate does not open!!! Can they print the visa the same day I'm supposed to pick it up? I thought the visa would be issued by now :/. Losing this flight would be really bad news.... Finding tickets in this country is almost impossible at the moment :(

I-751 August 2016 filer. 10-year Green card received on Aug 2017.

N-400 (Naturalization) July 2017 filer. Oath Ceremony: November 2nd 2017.

NATURALIZATION (N-400):

Sent application to Lewisville, TX on 07/03/2017. Case received and check cashed on 07/11/2017. Biometrics: 08/03/2017. In Line for Interview: 09/05/2017. Interview scheduled: 09/18/17 (notice received 09/21/17). Interview date: 10/23/2017. Oath date: 11/02/2017. Passport received: 11/20/2017.

 

REMOVING OF CONDITIONS (I-751):

Vermont Service Center received package on Aug 18th 2016.

NOA 1 date: Aug 19th 2016 (received letter on Aug 24)

Ohh no.. :( That is not good. So not fair that they schedule interviews immediately only for CC in the first half of the month :(

Its not like that at all. They keep scheduling until they fill the slots busy embassies like your and Nigeria and Philippines to name a few take 2 to 4 days and they are done with the month.

NVC sends out cases all over the world every single business day which doesn't agree with the two-windows visa scheduling. Could it be that some visa categories do not follow this rule? Or maybe different categories have different scheduling windows?

Oh yes I know they send out daily. remember K1's go through NVC. I have no idea the scheduling for anything but IR1/CR1 every embassy is different as far as how many slots they open sorry.

Thanks! Very relieved to be almost be finished with NVC nearing the end of the journey. Hope my interview gets scheduled quickly to make up for the some of the time wasted because of the reviewer's mistake. So very happy to finally be joining the interview thread after 5 months at NVC. :goofy:
