No one at the embassy or aramex would give her anyyyyyy information at all. She went to the embassy herself and when she got their they recognized her because they had the visa in hand about to give it to the Aramex courier. So they let her take it while she was there, what luck!

They told her to go pay a Immigrant Fee online $165. Do I do that now? They stapled the instructions to the Passport, we weren't sure if we are to remove them and pay it now, or leave it stapled..?

Finally your journey came to an end. Congrars!! I believe you need to pay the fees before she enters the US.

CONGRATULATIONS AND GOOD LUCK!!! :)

I know what you mean by waiting SO long!!! Our interview is Thursday. I cannot go with my husband. He is usually a cool cucumber, but he is a bundle of nerves. I really wish I could go, but I have not yet built-up enough time off, from my new job. (I am not sure if the Israelis would let me pass the boarder anyway.) I worked at one place for close to twelve years, but I got laid off four days after our NVC case complete. It set back us an additional three months bc I had to find another acceptable job that would be enough for the AOS and adequately support the family. Such a struggle has been all of this.

We all have to see the bright futures ahead and count our blessings. A man once said, "When you feel so wronged or deprived bc others have things so easily or so good, stop looking up at them. Look at what you do have. Then, look at those less fortunate and thank God for what he has given you." Those words really help me get by each day.

PCOZ,

The Sydney Consulate will not be able to do anything until your packet arrives from NVC and your status changes to "Ready". They cannot change your interview date if they don't even know who you are yet.

I traced my packet via DHL. It arrived in Sydney on a Friday, but my status did not change to "Ready" until the next Monday.

Sukie in NY

Thanks for all your help Sukie. So so appreciated.

When you are talking about status changes, are you talking about this:

https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx

I'm assuming it continues to say AT NVC until it says READY?

Is there a status that says in transit?

I will check the DHL bit now.

Hi PCOZ thank u for replying and yes i m hoping to get my interview date soon ? after ur case complete did u received any kind email or a checklist abt police clearance ?

We still have not received any email from our CC which was July 24th.

I got an email abt police certi. So i called NVC and talked with jena she said its just an reminder tht u guys have to do this and if u have done it already than dont worry abt it. I contact embassy in Sydney and made sure my husbands police certi tht if they received it and i got a reply saying they do have it... But today again i got a same email from NVC again abt police certi..?

If Sydney Consulate says they have your husband's police cert, then you are all set. The NVC tends to send a lot of repeat emails.

How did you contact the consulate, through email?

My husband and I were talking about his interview tonight. I've been completely neurotic and he's been so relaxed since we filed the I-130 and now that the interview is days away I'M cool as a cucumber and he's a bundle of nerves now! We've prepped for this moment and we're ready! We all got this!! :-)
