same situation..but at this point if you are at NVC stage, i wouldn't bother to file amended. I filed amended back in april, until now it's not done. and guess what?! IRS has backlog too.....that's what they told me when it was passed 12 weeks... cause normally it takes 8-12 weeks, then when it was 12 weeks, they sent me a letter stating they had too many returns need to process, so they had to extend the processing time to additional 45 days.. so another 6 weeks. and yet it hasn't been processed! :sleepy:

I mean I haven't heard any interviewer asked why your spouse filed as single if he was married. Because the SSN is not available, so a lot people got confused on this... even many accountants or CPAs have no ideas because they have never dealt with this situation.. I work at CPA firm, when I asked them about this, they didn't know till we read the instruction together and found out we could write NRA under SSN for foreign spouse...

That's my opinion only... but idk...

Wow IRS is back logged as well!! :wow:

Yay! Finally got to pay my IV fee. The only thing is I sent in my IV package beforehand to attn:DR and now the invoice says attn:CMR.

Ummm maybe I should give them a call? Cuz I had put attn:DR since one of their reps had told me to do so :/

Congrats on finally being able to pay your IV fee! I'm still waiting...

I am thinking of sending my IV documents with the AOS coversheet. Exactly what address is on the IV coversheet? Is it just Attn: CMR or Attn: CMR IV? I want to make sure I get it right. Thanks.

Right, thanks. My AOS cover letter said Attn: CMR AOS.

I was curious if the IV cover letter said Attn: CMR IV or something like that, or just Attn: CMR.

Still not billed. I'm pretty sure they can see how many times I log into the invoice page to check so they probably will get it done a little quicker.

I just finished talking with NVC, the lady Sandy said they are working on the June filers and they will resolve the problem soon. I asked her if I can send my IV package even if I do not have received yet my IV Invoice. She said yes and to put AOS cover on it
