Sure they wlll catch up.But it will be over for us by than and will have NO value...Just like USCIS catching up actually CRIPPLING "OUR" processing times at NVC.

Personally, I am NOT grateful at all and infact UPSET that USCIS caught up. Because if they were JUST 1 more month delayed, I'd be done w/ NVC stage 2 months ago as I predicted total NVC process taking 4 months taking the statistics into account.

All I-130's should just be sent straight to the NVC, that would solve this whole problem. USCIS is worthless and involving them in the process only serves to slow it down. The NVC could hire double the number of people with all the I-130 money and could get the work done in half the time.

I think differently. I think Nvc is useless and after u get approved u should be assigned interview date and case directly forwarded to embassy and u show documents right there. I don't understand why Nvc exists really :|

A few of you mentioned that your AOS was "approved".

How do you find out if this is the case?

I spent the last hour waiting to be connected to NVC on my phone. When I finally connected, the lady there informed me that I had to wait 60 days for my documents to be reviewed.

She told me that my AOS documents had been 'accepted'. When asked if that means my AOS had been 'approved', she basically said that NVC only accepts documents. Approval is done by the embassy and that NVC has nothing to do with that.

I'm being a bit paranoid I just don't want to find out 60 days from now that the AOS documents had an error and they want me to resubmit...and start the 60 day process again.

What she told you is correct. People on the forums often mistakenly say their documents or forms are approved by the NVC because they didn't get a checklist or submitted the correct information after the checklist. Maybe some of the operators use the wrong terminology themselves, but the NVC does not approve or deny any documentation or forms. They accept documentation and forms and send out checklists to correct mistakes or collect missing information so that the consular officer can make the call at the embassy level.

Your AOS is accepted. You would have to submit a new AOS at the interview if something changed between now and then. You would have to submit a new AOS if the CO was not happy with your current one as well, which has happened but is rare. You will not get a checklist for the AOS from the NVC from this point on. In their paperwork trail, you've completed it correctly and fully.

Umm, just got a duplicate email from NVC about the IV invoice. Weird xD

I got the IV fee invoice email twice, but there was no way I was going to pay it twice!

They even haven't provided a satisfactory immigration "service" in my opinion!

Yes, processing times affects progress, but complaining about said processing times does NOT affect progress. Seems like 90% of this thread (which was created less than a week ago) has been about the same 60 day email everyone is getting.

Just got off the phone, JIM said they will be working overtime, including saturdays. Also said processing times HAVE NOT changed. Its just that people were getting confused w/ 30 business days, now they just say its 60 days total.

I dont know how much of it is true but he said another 2 weeks before I can expect anything(IV scan date july 9th)

If they would be working overtime including Saturdays, I'd think the processing time should go down from 60 calender days.

Some agents tell us what we like to hear just to end our calls, unfortunately.

Most of the posts about OT have been unreliable but the chatter today seems to be more realistic.

Today is my weekly follow up so I'm about to get on the line from them. I'll ask them about it and see if we get another operator to yay or nay.

Just spoke to NNVC and got this info, but my AOS has not turned to N/A yet still shows paid.

This is very encouraging for me! My AOS has not turned and your scan date is 5 days after mine. Wish I wasn't at work so I could call. Congratulations!!!
