Hey everyone!

Thanks for the support earlier and once again I feel quite bad about my reaction. Can I ask if there is nay truth to this statement on the wiki?

"There's currently a way to know (not 100% guaranteed though) if you have case complete by looking on the CEAC site. If the AOS fee changes from PAID to N/A, then I'd suggest calling NVC up pronto as most, if not all, people who have reported seeing this have a case complete."

Or is it that the updating is a bit behind? I hope I do offend anyone by that question, I just do not know.

Many thanks

Daniel

God I hope so but for me it will be months to get our interview since all Arabs are TERRORISTS, yes I understand they must check and I want them to but with Interpol and the other orgs they have no excuse to drag it out for us. But thank you for your sweet and lovely wishes I truly appreciate it. :)(F) (L) (F)

Hi Soloenta,

On the FB group someone got an interview for Egypt in 3 mos and they didn't have any type of expedite...so there's still hope for us. :) Maybe when we get CC, the Cairo Embassy will be better and give us quicker interview dates.

Thank you!

So I can take that statement as being a good indicator? I honestly cannot remember if it was PAID or N/A but it is N/A now.

P.S Hope I did not offend, I am new so forgive me. :)

Yes, it's a good indicator. If it's showing as N/A now, definitely call up ASAP and ask if you have a case complete!

Hey Saylin! I was wondering if you had your ITIN by the time of filing your i864? I'm worried because my husband's transcripts say "Spouse SSN" so I don't want us to say I don't have an SSN when this government paper says I do...but I don't! I'm a confused complicated mess.

I think the general consensus is to say N/A or None. But maybe I should call, aaaaah ;-;

We just got our AoS coversheet today so I wanna send this thing out ASAP ;p

No, I didn't have my ITIN when I filed our I-864EZ at NVC. I did with the transcripts I brought to the interview.

Remember ITIN =/= SSN, as another member already said. NVC isn't concerned about what your SSN is (or isn't). They're concerned about the income amount and whether the petitioner can financially support you.

Well, everyone, (reporting from Westminster, MA tonight on our road trip - going to spend the day in Boston tomorrow... man, when the time comes I'm going to ACE the civics exam for citizenship!) we got our CASE COMPLETE!!!!!!:dance::dance::dance::dance:

I can't believe it! We hadn't heard a word since July 20 or 21 - no false checklists, no real checklists, nothing!

We did EP, so if indeed they've speeded up with that because more people are back to doing snailmail, that could be why we got so lucky...

But here's my theory. I think that somehow our I-129f got through (we filed it months after our I130, when USCIS was completely mired) and they felt like they had to hurry up... the operator I spoke to seemed a bit confused and unable to see the actual dates when things were accepted and/or approved, but she said that our file was just waiting for an interview to be scheduled at the embassy in Canada.

Since I'm on the road and have a certain amount of difficulty checking things online right now, do any of our Canadian friends know: if we get an interview scheduled, is there any protocol to contact them and see if there's any chance that we could reschedule to when we're actually in Montreal anyway? Because that would be sweet!

Either way, I'm so SO happy! What a great surprise!

Sorry to hear that the backup for everyone after us has gotten even worse... I just hope they're trying to "under-promise and over-deliver" and you'll all get case complete soon!

Case complete!!!! Woohooooo congratulations!!!!!!

Lol, actually when my phone buzzed and I saw NVCInquiry I got excited saying "OMG THE INVOICE IS HERE!", getting my co-workers all excited then I was like "...wait, nope, 60 day email. Never mind."

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.
