Another question! When my husband filed taxes this year he did it jointly so we got all the paperwork and stuff done so I have an ITIN now. I was reading over the transcript and under his SSN it says "Spouse SSN". So I know this is my ITIN number, but will it become an SSN? Is it technically my SSN and so when I fill out the i864ez I actually write in this number? Anyone deal with this at all?

Its crazy that we have to wait for them to schedule our interview date when it seems like other types of case filers can go to ustraveldocs.com and schedule their own interviews. They should send the files the same day they give case completes and let us go online and schedule. Makes too much sense right? I got case complete last Wednesday and I cannot find the patience to wait for interview date! Come on NVC!!!

No, ITIN is only for tax purpose, once you get to the US, you will need to apply for SSN. ITIN is not SSN.

Soooo, we paid AoS fee on Friday so I assume the AoS will unlock sometime this week. Just so I'm completely prepared, however, I was wondering if anyone who filled out i864EZ could give me some insight as to what they did. I keep seeing people saying they got checklists because they left Part 3 #9 blank "if different from mailing address". Put N/A? Write "Same as mailing address"? I'm wondering what is best. I also wonder why leaving it blank or not matters to the NVC, it's so trivial, and obvious that if it's blank, THE ADDRESSES ARE THE SAME. Silly... I'm stressin' out over here because I want perfection *___* Also, if blank spaces matter to the NVC, what about the last bit of the form? Part 7, no one else will be preparing the form, so should we write N/A in it? Or does it not matter?

I thought i864ez was supposed to be easy.

I filed the EZ and wrote "SAME AS MAILING ADDRESS" in that space. I also wrote N/A on the preparer section. Better safe than sorry!

From what I have seen by people who have been successful with the I-864EZ in the past months is to put N/A or write the same address in for Part 3 #9. Part 2 #5 and #6 should also have an N/A unless it applies to you. For the preparer information I would not write anything unless you used a preparer, since I would be afraid to get a checklist for marking something that did not need to be marked. This goes the same for questions #14 and Part 5 #17 also, don't fill them in unless you checked the box for the question.

What news source was that? The DACA renewals were due in June of this year and will begin processing in the fall of this year I do believe.... I don't think the DACA waiver was designed to be an ongoing waiver, at least I hope not.

I have nothing to do with this letter writing campaign and my suggestions have fallen on deaf ears (oh well). The I-130 backlog of 2013 was a result of USCIS prioritizing DACA waivers over I-130. If that's going to be mentioned in this letter writing thingy, there really needs to be footnotes or something of data backing up this claim.

It was on the new not sure what channel but they said it was no longer going to continue thank God and the illegals were realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly pissed off. I'm sure planning protests. Might have been the Spanish channel it was a few days ago.

I understand what your talking about with the letter hope someone can find data to back it up.

Hello all,

I also got a case complete. I called in today and said that is was completed on July 31, 2014. They hope within the week that an email with my interview will date will be sent. It will be in Montreal so I'm hoping for an October interview latest.

Yes you guys were earlier than us and it was a BIG MESS what they did with you all.

I am sorry you cannot visit your husband. BUt i am sure it will all be over sooner rather than later and we all will be with our respective spouses. Fingers crossed.

God I hope so but for me it will be months to get our interview since all Arabs are TERRORISTS, yes I understand they must check and I want them to but with Interpol and the other orgs they have no excuse to drag it out for us. But thank you for your sweet and lovely wishes I truly appreciate it.

No problem. It looks like someone else had a similar issue... My thoughts are that I would write N/A since your spouse does not have a SSN
