NVC Filers - August 2014

So I got the checklist for my AOS package on July 28, 2014. So basically from what I see I only got two errors which are the following:

In Part 6. Sponsors Income and Employment, please correct the following...

[x] Item 13.a. You must include your ________2013__________________ tax and income information.

[x] Items 13.a.1. The income you enter must match the total (gross) income reported on your most recent Federal income tax return. If you filed Form 1040EZ, use the adjusted gross income instead.

All the other parts didn't say what to correct so I am going to assume that everything else was good except for the two questions in Part 6 above. I don't understand what they want now, I sent my transcript from 2013 and I got my total gross income from there and put in on the form.

Am I right for assuming this is what I need to correct?

I will be trying my best to correct this by tomorrow so I can email it ASAP since I am sure that my IV package will get a false check list because I submitted everything that needed to be sent.

Those kids can really bond with you. When my firstborn was under two, I was extremely busy at work, including late evening long meetings at one agency or another. One late afternoon, I opened the front door and banged it without getting out for some reason. My boy who was napping just sprang to his feet and charged at the door crying, not noticing me still there. Nearly broke my heart. I realized then that my priorities were seriously out of whack. Most important revelation in my life.

He's 13 now, and is still in the habit of giving me a hug last thing before he goes to bed and first thing when he wakes up.

Glad you had a similar revelation to keep you centered and resolved against the infuriating madness of NVC.

Thanks for sharing that-- it's a very touching story and totally true... of course, part of what makes NVC/USCIS infuriating is that they are (in my mind) limiting the opportunities for my son to have those bonding moments with his dad... but what can we do about it? So part of the perspective is to focus on the things we can do, instead of wasting energy on outrage... meanwhile I will be going to visit my husband and his family (waiting for grandma/auntie time) in September.... it's just that I hoped we could be come back together after a couple of months, and this checklist makes that much less probable... oh well... thatnks again for sharing.

I believe it will be a little bit of a wait but we will wait with you so no worries. They say God makes us wait for a reason, I don't know what that is but I'm sure he wouldn't do it unless it was important.

$430 is the cheap option... Yikes. On the plus side, had no trouble making the appointment and you don't need CC or interview assigned.

I know, it's robbery! And it's not like we can shop around much with only 2 options. This whole thing is like the movie the Money Pit with endless costs. But instead of them saying "2 weeks", they say "30 business days"

Obsessively checked the tracking of our AoS package and it has arrived in NH just a few minutes ago!! Yay!! Presumably it will be safe and sound in the hands of NVC tomorrow morning. In fact, I think that they like my AoS package so much that they want to keep it around for a while ... probably about 30 business days.
