Someone posted that the waiting time for ds-261 to be reviewed and accepted is 60 days. Is this real?? I thought 60-days is how long it would take before they review AOS amd IV package...

Btw, Im confused with the new visa fees. Are we affected by that?

I called a few times and was told to allow 30 days for the IV fee to be invoiced after the Ds-261.

The 60 is just for the AOS and IV reviews. (Anyone correct me if I am wrong).

For all of us doing an Immigrant Visa, anyone that has already paid the fees will not be subject to the second part of the notice where we have to pay the difference at the interview.

However, if you have not paid the fees by September 12th, you will be subject to the higher fees.

Also, if you take a look at my signature, it took 32 business days between DS-261 and IV fee being invoiced. However, some have waited less than that, and some have waited longer.

I was only referring to the bit about paying the difference at the interview. The fees will still be increased on September 12th, so if you haven't paid one or both of the fees by then, then yes, you'll be paying the new, increased fee.

my wife is completing our AOS Documents now, while filling the form we are having a doubt

- should we fill the i864ez or just the i864. This doubt arises because we were not able to find a barcoded form for the i864ez but can find a barcoded one for i864. We fullfill all conditions for i864EZ but not able to find a barcoded version of that - Please Advice

Don't worry about the barcode, I think that's just a USCIS thing. If you meet all of the criteria for the EZ, go ahead and use that. Be sure not to leave the place of residence fields blank.

just logged onto ceac page, IV fee mark 'pay now' but once i clicked on it, there;s no bill to pay,,,,is it normal. also for i-846 will it has to be the one with barcode?

That's normal. If you have a lawyer, AOS and IV fee will be available around the same time. If you filled the DS-261, the IV fee will be available to pay somewhere around 30 business days after that, could be shorter, could be longer.

Does anyone know what they do with the two phone numbers they ask for during an expedite? Do they call the applicant? Should I tell my husband to be on the look out for a phone call or is this just for their records?

I wondered that also... especially since it's 2 numbers. Haven't heard of them actually using it. Somebody in the interview thread may have a better answer for you.

Here's what Saylin's wiki says about this question: Use the correct numbers on the I-864/I-864EZ for past year's incomes. As it states RIGHT IN THE QUESTION, if you filed a 1040 (or 1040A), then use total income, and if you filed a 1040EZ, then use adjusted gross income. If you filed jointly, then make sure you use the combined income (since it doesn't separate the incomes) and then submit W2s to show individual income.

It doesn't have anything to do with net income vs gross income. It's either Total Income or Adjusted Gross Income, and it depends on the tax form your sponsor used to file their taxes. It says which form they used somewhere near the top on the transcripts.

Just waiting over here for our IV fee to unlock, it has been 31 days so far since they received AOS documents, only "at least' 29 days to go..

Lets all keep being positive and strong it will be OK! We'll all get there!
