I don't think it just affects non-immigrants... Here's the link:

But I think the Dec. 11 or before thing only affects non-immigrants. I think for us, the fee we pay is the fee we pay, depending on the date the fee is processed. So from now on, if the fee is generated on Sept. 11 it will be the $230. On Sept 12, it will be $325. But it looks like you only have to pay the difference if it's a non-immigrant visa... I think!

All visa applicants must pay the fee amounts in effect on the day they pay, with the exception of Immigrant Visa application processing fees paid domestically to the National Visa Center (NVC), which will be effective as of the date of billing.

Oh, I know the price hikes affect us all, I was more referencing the fact that some visa applicants will have to pay the difference if they paid before the hike, but interviewed 90 days after. That aspect won't affect those of us here who fall into that timeframe.

Checklist guys. As expected. But shockingly it wasn't for the w2 that I was thinking. They accepted all the sponsor's documents. She said the petetioner didn't check yes or no in a military question. And that we didn't add up the household size correctly. I don't know how is that possible. We marked one for himself, one for adding all others and n/a in married. Now let's wait for the email. I m still surprised though that they accepted the tax returns without w2 from what the operator told me.

I'm so sorry samreen about the checklist. If it's a very minor issue and you think you put the correct information, maybe you can plead your case and have a supervisor let you bring the checklist to the interview?

It's worth a shot, try calling them once you get the email.

It will affect me since Egypt takes so long to schedule interviews. I think it's totally unfair I think if you paid your fees it shouldn't affect you at all no matter when the interview is we paid it that should be it. But then what makes sense with these people. It wont kill me to pay it but I don't like to be screwed and ripped off over and over again. Daca applicants are in the mids of demanding the application be free for them and they are considering it. You just have to FING WONDER!
