Just got off the phone with Nvc operator super duper nice old lady (didn't catch her name) .

I called because my wife goofed up on her most recent employment question on ds 260. Wrong address :wow: wrong phone number :wacko::wow:

I tolled the lady my concern and she tolled me not to worry and when she has her interview just to mention it and they will fix it. ouuuuffffffffffff :dancing:

Then i asked if she can see my daughters case concerning her AOS ( i was afraid , due to the most checklists on AOS packet) . She gladly looked and tolled me it was reviewed and ACCEPTED today!! :dancing: :crying: :dancing: . I was so worried and anxious about the AOS (I (864 EZ) . 33 business days to be reviewed.

The lady even informed me that i will receive a false checklist and to disregard it . I said yeah , Saylin tolled us not worry :rofl: :rofl: She was like huh ?????? I explained to her about Saylin's wiki and VJ and she laughed ....

We're preparing the final documents to bring to the interview next week. In the email we got, they said to bring the following to the embassy

Ø Confirmation pages of DS260

Ø Original Marriage Certificate with English translation

Ø Original Family Register with English translation

Ø Medical Examination Documents from a Panel Physician

Ø Police Certificate from Japan

Ø Completed form I-864 with supporting documents

Ø Fee, $230.00

Ø Two photos

Ø valid passport

Ø Letter pack 510

Since we never submitted IV packet and they never looked at our AOS, we are bringing those in full as well. Does that mean we need to prepare additional copies of all of these things even though we are bringing the other packets in full? The main thing I am concerned about is police certificate. We only have one that we got for the IV packet. Do we have to bring 2?

Hi, I have been lurking around this group for some time. My NOA1 was May 2013. Is there anyone else that is still trudging through this process from that far back? Looking at the spreadsheets it looks like no one is left from the summer. I have had no RFE or checklists and still I think I am way behind everyone else. Anyone else still out there?

There are quite a few people. We sent our papers in late Feb 2013 and have NOA1 of March 4, 2013. Unfortunately, we got an RFE despite having a lawyer 11 months after our NOA1. After replying to RFE, got approval after 1 year, then stuck four months at USCIS after approval. After finally getting to NVC, done with NVC steps in a month and a week and now awaiting case completion; it's been 13 business days or 19 calendar days so far since last scan date.

 

 

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.

Just got off the phone with Supervisor Octavio. He has pulled my file and reviewed my information and everything is in order and

:dance::dance:CASE COMPLETE!!!!!! :dance::dance:

Last document scanned 20th June (yes June!) and it was reviewed and filed without the reviewer sending either a checklist or completing the case.

But, now thankfully Octavio has completed our case and we are now waiting for our interview.

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words. I tried to "multi quote" reply to all of the nice messages, but VJ doesn't allow me to quote that many lines. So apologies for the generic THANK YOU!!!!! I enjoyed each and every message and appreciated them all so much!

Today was the first day in a LONG time where I didn't spend all day checking CEAC (although I did check it once to see if my AOS fee changed to N/A and it did, so I know it's true!) It was also the first day that I didn't panic every time I got an email (worrying about a 2nd checklist).

Now I can look forward to an email from NVC to confirm case complete and hopefully soon after book an interview.

Not sure if we will be able to swing POE before Christmas, as we have decided it is best to wait until visa is in had before selling the house. Houses around us are selling very quickly, and we don't want to end up homeless if anything gets delayed. If we get an October interview, hopefully we will get the visa then and can have most everything wrapped up by the end of the year. We figure if we are still here close to Christmas, we might as well spend once last one with my husband's Australian family and start 2015 in the USA!

This made me laugh so hard. I too have gained weight and need to start my diet this week but I don't want to because chocolate helps me cope!

I'm moving to Florida -- I should really get on it.

hmmm... fourth person to talk about weight gain so far because of this stressful process, I also gained lots of weight and chocolate is one of the culprits. Doc says I should check my weight and exercise.

Congrats! Just sit back and take it easy while you are waiting to hear about a case complete. The only other thing you could be doing while you wait would be to gather all of the documents that you want to take to your interview. :)

Sounds like a good idea and also it will help to keep occupied for the two long months

8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.
8/6/2014: AOS and IV packages mailed, completed and submitted DS-260.
8/7/2014: AOS and IV packages delivered to NVC.

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup

Just got off the phone with Nvc operator super duper nice old lady (didn't catch her name) .

I called because my wife goofed up on her most recent employment question on ds 260. Wrong address :wow: wrong phone number :wacko::wow:

I tolled the lady my concern and she tolled me not to worry and when she has her interview just to mention it and they will fix it. ouuuuffffffffffff :dancing:

Then i asked if she can see my daughters case concerning her AOS ( i was afraid , due to the most checklists on AOS packet) . She gladly looked and tolled me it was reviewed and ACCEPTED today!! :dancing: :crying: :dancing: . I was so worried and anxious about the AOS (I (864 EZ) . 33 business days to be reviewed.

The lady even informed me that i will receive a false checklist and to disregard it . I said yeah , Saylin tolled us not worry :rofl: :rofl: She was like huh ?????? I explained to her about Saylin's wiki and VJ and she laughed ....

Now I can look forward to an email from NVC to confirm case complete and hopefully soon after book an interview.

Chances are you'll get the interview email before the CC email due to your CC timing. October scheduling should start any moment now and CC email gets auto-sent a full week after actual CC.

AOS package approved, no,checklists. (False checklist email sent)

Scan date July 8.

A big deal for me there were no checklists, as I am self-employed, and sent a 2013 return, not transcript.

It's a small victory! :)
