Hi guys / Saylin.

I Have a question, I've been noticing lately that there are some signatures that have more "updated" info vs. NVC stage SS.

is there a time limit of inactivity on SS that will get you "removed" from it?

btw I want to encourage everyone to update your info on SS as it provides valuable statistical information that is useful to all of us and newer users (I'm sure everybody knows that already and I'm preaching to the choir but I wanted to get that out there)

Well I called this morning to see if anything had been approved... On Friday the rep volunteered to have my DS-261 passed to a supevisor because she said it should have been reviewed already. Today I spoke with Kevin (who I USED to like) and he said he saw that the supervisor request had been put in, but that since it was still within the 60 day timeframe, the supervisor would look at it but probably not so anything with it.

Great. That sounds like such a huge waste of resources I can't stand it. Why in the world would you have someone look at something that would take moments to review and approve and just not do it. Wait another 20 days. Great.

These people are crazy... But I guess we already knew that.

You might want to post this question in a separate thread in the main IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Via Process & Procedures forum. This thread is specifically for IR-1/CR-1 filers who are currently at the NVC stage, i.e. after I-130 approval. Good luck!

My AOS scanned date is July 11. got a check list today saying this

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

The National Visa Center received your DS-260 form. We are waiting for the traveling applicants

supporting civil documents to be submitted to the NVC. Your online Immigrant Visa Application will be

reviewed upon receipt of your supporting documentation.

I was just on the phone with a rep about the letter they sent of updating my husbands address. She said a request was put in and I said I didn't put in a request, to which she said well we got one and updated it. She read me the address and it was the same one as the original one we had!! She said she can't give me details about who submitted it and how it happens. Are you kidding me????????!!!

Also, she said they are putting packages together and now they have started reviewing them from the last package date. She said even though I sent in the IV package on 7/21, they will review it with my other package which was sent August 15th(my checklist for AOS)!

I said how is this fair and how come we were not notified of this? She said we just changed the policy and she would not shut up about the 60 days and kept saying is there anything else??

She was so rude! I asked to speak with a supervisor, she put me on hold and said they are not available and she'll put in a request for them to call me back.

Is NVC serious about putting the packages together and reviewing them within the timeframe of the later scanned one!what if I a get checklist for my IV? That means I'll wait extra days for it to be reviewed and then have more time waiting here? :cry:

So someone else asked about this: there should be two scan dates--one for AOS and one for IV package. Do they work on each package as they get it (well, 60 days after scan) or do they process them together?

God only knows what the heck goes on at NVC or any immigration office. It's a mystery we still haven't cracked.

2day my wife i receive a mail letter saying that: we have updated the email/mail address for this case

I didn't change any thing for my case

Don't worry about it Koko it's just NVC trying to confuse everyone I received one and a few others did also. I did put in a request a million years ago but the others did not. One person called checked the address and it was the same one thank GOD. So if you want call to make sure.

Cannot wait to see my husband from tmr:) I will visit him again in the us because of this ridiculously slow visa process.

My AOS scanned date is July11 and have not received anything(checklist) yet. Maybe this week?

Hope all of us here(especially who have waited from last summer) will finish this visa journey soooooon.

I did call them back and the other rep said they are changing over to that new policy for reviewing multiple packages but she said I shouldn't be concerned since mine had come in earlier. She said the policy change was in effect for the current packages they are receiving.

So it's kinda bad news for the people sending stuff in right now, then again you never know how and when NVC changes it's policies...but from what she said, going forward they will start your 60 day mark for the review from the date they get your last package in. So if you were to send one package a month late, your 60 day will start from the later date and you've pretty much wasted the first entire month. :(
