Hi everyone,

I've been following this thread for the past month, on and off...I try to not check it too often because it makes me more anxious. Can somebody explain to me how it's possible for some people to get their IV fee available in a couple days and for others it takes 60 days.

I submitted my DS-261 on 07/09/2014 and I still have not been able to pay my IV fee. I am fine with NVC being behind on their processing. It just makes me feel like, maybe I'm not doing enough to have my wife here with me, but I don't know what else I can do. I'm sure this is feeling shared by many people on here.

Also, to the people that get approved really fast, Congratulations! I'm definitely happy for you! Wish this happened to everyone.

Hi, Mine was submitted on the July 11th, I had to call and request to speak with a supervisor to get it approved and that's why I am here otherwise, I would have been waiting just like you. Call on Monday and ask for Betsy. They are pass 30 business days. From what they told me, everything else is still 60 days but DS261 processing days is still 30 days which mean, they should have taken care of you since this Wednesday. Call!!!

If your case included a lawyer representation when it was transferred from USCIS or you are a self-petitioner (some employment based categories), then you bypass the DS-261 and it's 60-day penalty.

I think it will be before that...

Oh, how I hope you're right!

However, the recent cc-couples had their last scan after our last scan, so if things went according to what's fair, ours would have already been checked and a cc or checklist issued. But fairness is clearly not in the NVC vocabulary :)

Congratulations to all case completes!

IR1 took 520 days....

DS-260 question: In the section for employers in the past 10 years, do you also need to include the current employer, even if you just listed it on the previous page? The reason I ask is because it specifically says, "Provide the following information on all of your previous employers from the last ten years, starting with the most recent employer". This is probably a really obvious answer but I just want to ask the people who have already passed this step. :D Thank you!

Yes it does. I noticed when going through the sample that NVC has on their website that a lot of the work and education questions vary... Like males of a certain age, or people coming from certain countries. It's weird.
