Update. Spoke with NVC rep today. They are commencing work on DS-261's submitted 9 July.

Good Luck. Hopefully you'll get your IV fee unlocked very soon. :-) But I actually doubt this info, apparently people who submitted in Aug and few 10th-15th July , have got their IV fee invoiced. There is no order in processing of these forms. Its sheer Luck.!!!

So they reached July 9 this week. Hopefully Monday or Tuesday we will hear something. I hate weekends since I stepped into the I-130 world! :clock:

Same here. I used to love weekends before this immigration process started but not anymore.

thanks sir. got it.

  • Note: if you're getting an error message ("Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time…" or "This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted…" or "You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information."), do NOT panic. This is actually good news! If you just got your case number, then this message means NVC is inputting your case in their system. If you get this message a few days after case number generation, then it's a good possibility that NVC is invoicing your AOS bill. And if this message appears a few days after DS-261 acceptance, then there's a good chance the IV bill is being invoiced.

This is for you amanda if you are reading this-

Its very sad to know what you are going through. I know waiting for so long that too when it is not your mistake is way too hurting. To be honest, I was whining too much when people who were late filers got ahead of me but lately I realized "Nature does not hurry, everything is accomplished". How wrong I was. One will never get anything a minute before or a minute later than his/her actual time. Your time will come soon. Just abandon this suffering to God till then. Trust me, God is testing our patience. You are always in my prayers. God bless you and everyone out here who have been waiting sooooo long. Cheers!!! :-)

Has anyone else had this issue: I was starting to fill out the DS-260 about an hour ago. I clicked save and signed out. I just went to go log back in and now my IV fee says "IN PROCESS" again and the DS-260 says "INCOMPLETE" and I can't click on it...

Strange , i was able to fill out my DS-260 yesterday morning (at my job..:) ) but didnt knew all these ridiculous dates they ask about school and all, so i finished the DS-260 yesterday evening at home.

OMG! Now it allows me to re-open the DS-261 again and the IV fee is showing as "PAID" again. I swear, I'm not making these things up!

weird !

Did you opened the DS-261 ????

I'm really sorry to hear that-- I have been seeing your posts and can only imagine how frustrating the situation must be... Here's hoping they figure it out and fix it next week... but in the meantime take care of yourself, and if that means a break, I'm sure everyone will understand.

Oh no :( what is with NVC seriously! Don't worry, just try not to think of it for the weekend and just call back on Monday. I'm pretty sure they will sort it all out, they are only asking for a weeks worth of time to possibly be on the safe side.

*hugs*

I pray your case gets sorted out soon and you have case complete, you have waited more than their "60 days"

I'm so very sorry sweet heart this is just so wrong it breaks my heart and more so to know your in such deep pain. There has to be someone you can talk to and I fully understand your not wanting to be here right now. God Bless you, know I'll be praying for a quick solution to this Amanda. (F) (L) (F)

Oh Amanda no. I am devastated for you. I feel really sad. I just don't understand how they can do this. Are you going to call back next week or is the Supervisor going to call you. I wouldn't bank on that. Sending you love xxx

This is just so wrong :( I really feel sad. I'll suggest you call them next week and keep requesting for a supervisor until something is done. Am so sorry that you are going thru this. You are in my prayers.

Thank you my dear lady for the kind words. I hope NVC won't steal Christmas from all our kids this year. It would be my kids' first real Christmas if we could make it to the US in time. Still, my distress doesn't hold a candle next to Amanda's. NVC being slow is one thing... them making stupid mistakes and charging her weeks and weeks of waiting time is just unforgivable.

Cheers!!! :-)

Thank you everyone. Sorry to cast such a dark cloud on an otherwise positive day of case completes and other good news. I am so happy for each of you whether I comment or not, I am finding time to read when I can. :dancing:

I said I need a break, but like a bad habit I can't stay away from my VJ family. Once the kids go to sleep and the house is quiet, I do like to read and catch up. I am ok and have a lot of good things to keep me going. My husband, my kids, my job, and the Lady Gaga concert tomorrow night!!!

I really appreciate all the kind words and thoughts above. It is not the end of the world, but it is frustrating. I wish I could turn back time and not make a mistake on my AOS and I would have had a CC in June. But, it is what it is and I have to think there is something I am meant to stay here for just a little longer. I have prepared my US family for the fact I may not arrive before Christmas (since we still have the house to sell etc. once the visa is granted). They are disappointed, but ok.

Supervisor Octavio has said since I am in Australia they cannot call me once my supervisor review has taken place, but can only send me an email. When I asked how long it would take he said if I call NVC on Wed and ask for him he will update me. He even told me the hours he works, so that was nice. I just hope the operator will put me through without too much fuss. I just really hope all is ok with my paperwork and they don't issue another checklist (or if they do allow me to take the corrections to interview).

I am ok, just disillusioned and numb. I was born and raised an American and taught that the USA is the greatest, most advanced country in the world. So why then, is the immigration system so backward and broken? I will say goodnight with a quote I saw that I like:

"Do not allow negative experiences to make you bitter, they should make you wiser, & with that wisdom you shall find joy" (unknown)

Love to you all, thanks for keeping me going (L)(F)(L)
