NVC Filers - August 2014

hey guys i need your help , i have a lawyer but there no help at all , SMH i want to send an expedite letter fo my husband , i need help writing it and understanding how i can go about doing this please someone help me!!

This is the information I found on the NVC website regarding expedite requests (very limited).

To request a review for expedite, please submit a letter (or statement) to the NVC from a physician (or medical facility). The letter must include the physician’s (or medical facility’s) contact information, and declare a life or death medical emergency exists. This documentation may be in the form of a scanned attachment to an e-mail.

Because each case is unique, it will be impossible for someone to tell you exactly what to write. A first step will be requesting a letter from your doctor confirming your pregnancy and due date. It should be written on letterhead from the doctor´s office or medical clinic.

Then you will need to send an email to NVCexpedite including your case number, beneficiary and petitioner names, DOB, contact info, etc. In the body of that same email you can explain your expedite request and attach any relevant documentation (dr´s letter, for example).

Hopefull other VJers will have more to add, but that´s what I found from my research.

I never received a letter personally so do not know.

Lol jmsumner but that's exactly what I m saying that they didn't use to do it in the past and now they have started doing it so that I found weird. In case u missed some previous posts someone got the expedite for pregnancy. And also at Nvc again. So basically they got done with the whole process in 3 months.

Maybe it was a complicated pregnancy and the person in question didn't have anyone except her husband in another country? USCIS is notorious for denying many expedite requests even though some are felt as deserving to be expedited. There might be more to it than just pregnancy because even the NVC considered the request and passed it on to embassy, which then granted it.

NVC does not as a rule send document reception acknowledgement emails. My only guess is, it was a response to an email inquiry you sent a month ago. They take that long to respond back. NVC scans the documents (or more accurately, matches them to your case file) 2-4 days after receiving them. Call if you want to know for sure.

Maybe the poster was referring to the "60 day" email which does mention a document receipt date (though that date itself seems to fall somewhere between the delivery and scan dates).
