Now I filled out my Affidavit of Support, this time I put N/A in all the parts for 7 a,b,c,d because I do not want to use asset as supplemental income. This is the stupid reason why I am in this mess. Everything is approved (cosigner and all documents) just my stupidity in filling out this section and NOT sending in bank statements caused my 2ND CHECKLIST. Even though I am below poverty line and even though my income wont be looked at.

Should I still send bank statements? I am so paranoid now that they will still be like "Well checklist said bank statements..." even though I completed a new Affidavit of Support and omitted part 7.

Now I included a letter explaining I made a mistake and i didnt want asset as supplemental income included and signed it. That is what a rep told me to do, he said you dont even need to include a new form and I said Well too bad I am sending it.

CC was confirmed by phone on Monday, the 18th and I received an email this morning, Thursday, the 21st notifying that an email will be sent out once the interview is scheduled...I also called on Tuesday to ask about the next step, the rep told me that NVC is done scheduling interviews for the month of August, so he asked me to expect an email in the first or second week of September...meaning more waiting...

One of my friend got her CC on August 11th, then she received an email regarding the interview date (September 2nd) on August 15th..I guess some people are just plain more lucky :S

Does anyone have experience with Malaysian Police Report filled online, We did it on Monday but when i checked today its saying READY FOR COLLECTION, i don't know what to make of it because I was told might take upto 2months, i want to save my wife a long trip to the embassy... just incase other have experience this and were to wait further ....

Hi! We had to do the Malaysian police certificate online also. When we saw it said "READY FOR COLLECTION" my husband went to the Malaysian Embassy in Cairo but they told him to wait until the status changes to "READY TO PAY" so he can go pick it up at the EmbAssy & get it that same day as long as he paid the 20ringgits. They also told my husband they will call him as well when it is ready. You may tell ur wife to call the Malaysian embassy and save her the trip. We submitted the Malaysia Police Cert on July 16th and we are still waiting. Hope this helps u.

IMO, sending more documents than required cannot hurt. At most, they will disregard them. But since they do ask us to attach the checklist letter, they might expect to see the bank statements. If I were you, I would put them in even if they are not needed now.

I had a ton of help with the AOS actually didn't fill it out because I just didn't get it. I only feel comfortable with how many people the rest I could not advise you since I would just die if I hurt your chances of a quicker CC. I will leave this to those who know what they are saying. Be patient someone will come along that can answer your questions. Sorry it couldn't be me.

I got another checklist after all this waiting. They asked again for a police clearance certificate which we already sent again from the local post office. What now? We have to get another one because they irresponsibly lost it?

Dkbose: I did not send my Police clearance to NVC, it takes really long to get one and I wanted to speed up the NVC processing time. All I have been asked to make sure I have the PCC during the interview.

I submitted last set of documents on may 15th, 2014. I received my PCC only on 15th of July. Just check, and they will be ok if you need not submit to NVC, and let them start the further processing, so there is no delay. In the mean while you can get the PCC done, while you await CC.

Wow I think I found another error

Part 5 Sponsor's household Size

So I am sponsoring my wife so on Question # 1. I put a 1 there

Then the second half is Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit

So I put one for myself (by default) Question # 2

Then Question # 3 says if you are married put 1 for that as well

Now since I am sponsoring my wife, I don't put a 1 here correct even though I am married?, since she is included up at that top and I am SPONSORING her?

How did NVC not catch this? On my last form I had 3 in my household when I think I should only have 2 in my household...right? If its just me and my wife and im sponsoring her?

This was the exact error in our case too. This stupid thing caused so much delay

My case is exactly similar as yours... I too filled the bank account balance question even though we have a joint sponsor who meets the financial requirements. Only difference is I included a letter from the bank where my wife holds an account stating her name, address, account details and checking account balance.... However I did not include any bank statements and still believe the bank letter would suffice.... Fingers crossed....

Now that you have the checklist specifically requesting for the bank statements I feel you should send the bank statements since they have asked for it.... Filling up a new affidavit form with Part 7 blank now does not sound like a great idea to me......

Contact the embassy once they receive your case from NVC. Contact them once a week until you get lucky with a sudden opening. You should be prepared to provide a convincing reason for the request to improve your chances.

i emailed them and i told them that i have my medical done. im just taking my chances. is there any delay that could pop up because of what i did?
