Haha sorry! I shouldn't have assumed! I think it was because I saw "Jeff" and thought it was a guy.

Haha no worries, we are both in the pic so you had a 50/50 chance of being right. He peeks in over my shoulder every now and then ;-)

:clock: i'm still waiting....

Sooo sorry karebear, we both filled out our ds261 the same day, yours should be any day now

I called last week to ask about mine and Joy told me it would be next week and she put in a request for a supervisor to check. You should try calling, I'm not sure if that is what sped mine up or not but it doesn't hurt to try.

I called last week too and the guy said, "oh they should be getting around to it any day now"

I actually just called. The operator said that they rec'd it july 9/14 which doesn't even matter because its 30 business days today!! and she even said it takes 30 business days to review or make it into a paper airplane and have races!!!

Just really annoyed . And it's not like you can say, "well on VJ someone got their fee and they had the same date as me, blah blah blah" LOL.

They probably have so many ppl yelling and crying at them, but seriously most NVC workers have NO EMPATHY. They should have some kind of sensitivity training or something. This is OUR lives being put on hold. (sorry had to rant) :ranting: :ranting: :ranting: :ranting:

Question related to I-286EZ. In part 2, address of the immigrant, you use the foreign address or the address in the US, since the latter is the on used for all correspondence?

Thanks

foreign address.

Hey Everyone, Just filling out our i864. Do we need to include petitioner's current income (income of year 2014) exactly including cents? or can we just round it up to approximate value? We have petitioner's last 3 years' tax returns but do not know how much current year's income is going to be in exact amount.

Current income is not year to date, it is how much the petitioner SHOULD make the entire year. If they are paid hourly then multiply $$ X hours worked per week X 52 weeks. (For example)

Makes sense. Just to clarify do we need exact amount of yearly salary (including cents) in those fields? I think I have seen someone get checklist because they rounded up the amount.

No not on current income, unless it shows up on the pay stubs as such. My husband made sure to put the exact amount as each of his pay stubs show a yearly income spot.

The part that people get in trouble at is not correctly putting the total income or adjusted gross income from the tax transcripts. Even when you do put it right, occasionally the NVC checklists it erroneously.

We (married couple, I am USC) submitted the I-864 and IV application electronically on 3/29, got a checklist on 7/22 for no "N/A" in the address line, sent the correction the following day, and was informed of a 60 day delay.

Does it make sense for expedite request at this point? Seems ridiculous to make was wait so long because we didn't fill out the form they way they expected but didn't inform.

I'm pretty sure that you asked a question earlier in the day and I responded with, "have you read the NVC wiki yet?" I think it is best if you do so. Here is the link for it:

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

There is a section for the AOS package that explains processes like the one you are asking about.

Also, this is straight from the official instructions for the I-864. Make sure you read and re-read them.

"Part 5. Sponsor's Household Size.

This section asks you to add together the number of persons for whom you are financially responsible. Some of these persons may not be residing with you. Make sure you do not count any individual more than once, since in some cases the same person could fit into two categories. For example, your spouse (whom you would enter on Item Number 3. might also be a lawful permanent resident whom you have already sponsored using Form I-864 (Item Number 6.). If you included your spouse on Item Number 3., do not include him or her again on Item Number 6."

You don't put anything there because it says in the instructions do not repeat anyone twice

Just put n/a or ''0" there. Both ways it will be fine. 1 for myself and 1 for total immigrant u sponsoring. So household will be "2"
