We are close to the same day for the DS261 and considering how long it took them to "receive" JeffInMX's DS261 I'd say that we are safely in the system and half way there!! :-(

It took them 64 days for them to "accept/approve" (I'm not sure of the correct term) the DS-261. It was received on June 16.

OMG FINALLY!!! YAY!

I know!!! :D

9/23/2013: Sent I-130 petition to Chicago Lockbox through UPS
9/25/2013: I-130 delivered by UPS (Priority Date)

9/26/2013: NOA1

3/04/2014: Transferred to NSC

4/17/2014: NOA2

4/23/2014: Case shipped to NVC

NVC

5/05/2014: Case arrived at NVC

5/29/2014: Case number and IIN received

6/06/2014: DS-261 available and completed

6/09/2014: AOS fee invoiced and paid

6/10/2014: AOS fee shows as "paid"

6/16/2014: Date NVC is going by for DS-261 because I "re-opened" it

6/24/2014: AOS package sent

7/02/2014: AOS package scanned in

8/14/2014: AOS package approved (false checklist email for DS-261)
8/19/2014: DS-261 accepted

8/21/2014: IV fee invoiced and paid

8/22/2014: DS-260 available

Don't worry someone here submitted ds261 on august 5th and got iv fee invoice today. Maybe you are the next lucky one. Don't forget you are following positive approach :P

2014/08/15 : Mailed AOS package (Scan date-19th August)

2014/09/04 : IV fee bill invoiced & paid online.

2014/09/06 : Mailed IV package (scanned into system on September 10th)

2014/11/07: New scan date for AOS checklist

when I called NVC, they told me we can't see your form into our system yet when its already been about 32 days from the date of submission of ds 261 but it shows completed. So it means it hasn't been reviewed and added to casefile. Is that normal?

Phone reps can't see it until it's added to the casefile.

everything is taking 60 calendar days, not 30 business days at the moment.

Since January I am waiting for approval. please tell me what should I do?

I was about to ask the same question or ask whether you have a lawyer. After a denied expedite request (which has really screwed us), your signature has made me smile. I like seeing people get through this quick, and selfishly I hope the IV fee become available for me just as quick. :yes:

We dont have a lawyer !

Who needs a lawyer when you have VJ ,with all awesome ppl that are helping eachother out !

And ofcourse our awesome guru Saylin !

I guess we were just lucky this time , orrrrrr.... they finally figured out that they forgot to auto-expedite us at the USCIS stage in december 2013 and want to make up with us ...lol

I know!! I've finally been able to stop stalking the CEAC website 47 times a day. I check once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Yesterday I actually even forgot to look!! It feels much better to know that it is working out and take the anxiety out of the process.

The thing that helped me to do that was to finally book a trip to see her. We are going to meet in Belgium for 10 days in October. Just knowing the date is like a miracle in how much I think about it!!!

Airlines should have special fares for people going through this process!!!

i got the invoice for my IV fees past night tooooooo ........ !!!!!!!!!! YaaaaaaaaaaYYYYY :dancing: :dancing: :dancing: :dancing:

when i woke up this morning the email was there and i went to ceac and paid it right away !!

now waiting for the ds-260 to open up !!

Congrats, I think you are extremely lucky guy. I am a day behind you and haven't got anything. Still waiting for their response.

That's what we were doing, we were going to be together for the interview but it was just too long. I won't be able to make it for the interview now but I think it will be worth it.

That's great news. They didn't auto-expeditite? I thought they were only auto-expedititing cases from the Philippines?

Let's hope we keep seeing speedy NVC timelines!! :)
